Great quality and value
I always buy Alaska smokehouse salmon because the price is great -esecially when you need a lot for a party or group - and I love the taste. It's excellent with anything - from appetizers to adding to pasta dishes. Also, it's shelf stable so I can keep a pack in my pantry for months and know that I have it there as quick back-up for a night of friends over or a quick raodtrip.

Not what’s pictured. And lots of water.
I was expecting a dark pink dry smoked salmon that looked like the picture. It was similar in texture and flavor to any canned salmon that you can buy in the grocery store. Grey in color. Typically cheap fishy canned smell. Flavor was what you would expect from canned with an indistinct smoke flavor. Texture was overly flaky like overcooked poached or canned. Very disappointing. After draining the water off I weighed it at just over 10 oz. Of meat including some skin.

Had Much Better
The particular taste, which is consistent after 2 packages, seems mediocre when compared to other salmon I've had in the Pacific Northwest. Consistency is good but not great. I did expect better.

Disgusting taste - poor packaging!
Edited- I had this product on subscribe and save. It’s gone so far downhill over last year. Wow. The taste is disgusting. That’s being kind. The color of salmon in each box I was getting was gray-ish and tasted awful. Don’t waste your money. Salmon is delicious but the packaging is just awful. I get this through subscribe and save so I’m getting a package about once a month. Every package is jacked up and the salmon is kind of folded in half within the vacuum package, making it mushy.

Feed it to the birds
The quality of “Cheep” caned salmon, saturated in oil. There is no taste of smoke whatsoever. Extremely overpriced. I don’t normally write reviews, but the truth needs to be told about this product. This was a great disappointment.

Real Alaskan Wild Caught Alder Smoked Salmon
If you’re looking for the real deal wild caught alder smoked salmon you just found it. This isn’t that canned stuff you find in the grocery aisle next to the canned tuna. This is what smoked salmon tastes like if you flew to Alaska, caught some salmon and brought it to the local smoke house to be smoked... because that’s essentially what this is. The only difference is you didn’t catch it yourself.
