Vissilis wanders around in the dilapidated house, where he was raised by his uncle Kostis. His mind is floded with memories of a time long-gone. It'sthe early 1950's, the aftermath of a Civil War. Vassili's father, Manos, was still in exile when an American woman, Pandora descended on the village. Like her mythological namesake, she too wreaked havoc on men's hearts: Kostis fell in love with her, and the little village community saw the invasion of modern customs, When Manos returns from exile, Pandora steals his heart, but in the end he turns her down. When a tragedy strikes, an accident many believe to be a deliberate killing, things take a tragic turn for the yougn Vassilis, Set against breathtakin Mediterranean landscapes, Pandora is a contemporary European retelling of the Greek muze's myth, in the tradition of The English Patient and Captain Correlli's Mandolin. Directed by George Stamboulopoulos.

A Box Worth Opening
Pandora works great. I listen to it free, with audio commercials on my phone. Those come every few songs, and sometimes much more infrequently than that. They last only 15 to 30 seconds. There are visual ads that arrive with each song. If you are looking at your screen, you can simply remove these by clicking the "X." If you "Like" a song, Pandora collects these and creates a personal station for you called Thumbprint, which then plays all songs you like random. Pandora provides historical information about the artists as each song plays, and often their information includes song lyrics. Lots of other features. Pandora will communicate with you via e-mail to inform you of new releases by artists you like.
