Review: Kills weeds fast - Best weedkiller you can get
Review: Delayed action, but it works! - I bought this product to kill ivy, bamboo & honeysuckle. Previously I have used "SBK Brushwood Killer" to do this, but after some initial success, it failed to do the job & all targets made a full recovery. In particular, there was no effect on the bamboo. With this product I followed the simple instructions under the label to make a full strength "rhododendron" mix & gave my three victims a liberal spraying. Then I waited. And waited. And waited. Two weeks after spraying, the only visible effect on any of my targets was a slight browning on some of the leaves. I made a mental note to leave a scathing review here, on my purchase of yet another useless product. However, by the third week the health of all of my victims had began to deteriorate rapidly. The leaves were now nearly all brown & thereafter the health of my three targets continued to spiral downwards. Job done, with just a single application. Highly recommended!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Why should I use ROUNDUP Ultra Tough Concentrate Weedkiller?**
A: ROUNDUP Ultra is a non-selective weedkiller that is absorbed by leaves and freshly cut, woody surfaces and moves throughout the entire plant, above and below ground, to control annual and perennial weeds, including grasses and deep rooted weeds.

**Q: Where can I use ROUNDUP Ultra Tough Concentrate Weedkiller?**
A: Controls annual weeds and most perennial weeds and trees around the garden and on areas not intended to bear vegetation such as hard surfaces, patios, drives, tarmac, paths and gravel areas. It can be used to clean up weedy ground before planting.

**Q: When should I use ROUNDUP Ultra Tough Concentrate Weedkiller?**
A: Apply as a foliar spray to weeds and saplings at any time when the weeds are actively growing and have adequate leaf area to absorb the spray. Avoid spraying when rain is imminent.

**Q: How do I use ROUNDUP Ultra Tough Concentrate Weedkiller?**
A: Add the correct dilution of concentrate to water in sprayer, following the pack instructions. Spray to lightly wet the leaves whilst avoiding run-off. Weeds show effects within 1-4 weeks. Dead/dying weeds can be dug in without harming future plants.

**Q: Is ROUNDUP Ultra Tough Concentrate Weedkiller safe to use on areas used by children and pets?**
A: Keep children and pets out of treated areas until dry. Keep out of the reach of children.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very effective if you have months
*by M***S on 21 May 2026*

Very effective but you need to mix a little on the stronger side and it takes months, not weeks, to fully work. In my case it solved what I needed it to do, which was killing off rhizome based weeds in our beds that manual pulling and turning had proliferated. It's worked to get it under control, so I can manually weed again going forwards. You need to be very patient but it does work.
