Get the right size, even if you have to pay for it.
After rotator cuff surgery, the hospital gave my wife a Medium sling, and it was terribly uncomfortable without providing proper support. Went online to Amazon and bought the identical sling in Small, and it worked perfectly. Night and day difference.

If your measurement falls at the end of a size order the next size up
Had to return because it was too small. I measured as recommended. My 11inch measurement fell at the end of small and beginning of medium. I have been struggling with a large given to me at the hospital and I overcompensated and ordered this wall should have gone with the medium.

Great but one problem
I had a reverse shoulder replacement done by an HMO. I got the cheapy DonJoy stabilizer. I used that one last year with my first replacement and had nothing but uncomfortable days in it. So, I bought this one for the second time around. It is so much more comfortable than the other, it supports the wrist and has a cushy neck piece. My problem was that no matter how much I shortened the neck strap, I could not get my elbow and back of my arm to rest. The pocket was just a bit too deep. My OT and PT always mentioned this and tried to get it to work. Even so, it was still so much better than what I used last year.

Lesson learned - don’t try to save money and get this vs the Pro
I got the Ultrasling Pro from my shoulder surgery and wanted a second sling that would be for inside/sleeping only. I tried to save some money and bought this one instead of the Pro. After a few hours, I realized I made a mistake. Don’t underestimate the comfort from the around the other arm sling style on the Pro. Also, the abduction pillow is a lot harder and less comfortable.

The hospital have me a large!! I am only 5 feet tall. I really appreciated the instructions for how to measure. The small worked great.

Did not work for me.
This stabilizer sling, worn to ease the wearer through post shoulder surgery, is far more comfortable then the one I was given at the hospital following surgery. However, the mechanism that enables you to release the sling when you need to take it off requires far more strength than I have in either hand. I had to return it.

Lucky to find this, after my shoulder surgery this harness offered the best support. I feel it is one of the best ones to purchase, has nice ventilation also. I was surprised to find out how much your arm sweats when it is confined.
