I wouldn't put this throughout my hair. It's a little sticky and greasy. I only use it on my edges.

I'm a beginner and have a hard time braiding with most other gels because they're too slippery and i don't get the braids tight enough. My boyfriend has pretty short hair for braiding but this gel gives good grip and hold and is really easy to work with. Really good braiding gel. Good hold and not slippery.
