Natural fruit flavors but they do contain artificial food dyes and preservatives.

Is honey safe for birds?

Bacteria in real honey can be deadly for birds. Most products that say honey have little or no actual honey in them. Better safe than sorry though.

Perhaps the manufacturer/distributor could reply, as there seems to be a discrepancy in the reviews: Is this product appropriate for aquarium snails?

Yes. I have been breaking this down into small pieces and putting it into a tank for several weeks now. My 3 gallon tank holds a beta fish and a mystery snail.

How do your attach the clip securely to the cage so the cuttle bone doesn't slip around or fail off?

Not sure about the clip, but this holder works good. FYI if you have parakeets like me they either don’t like these or their to hard cause for them because their is evidence of them trying to eat it, seems the traditional white cuddle bones that I do have on the opposite side of the cage, they have no issues with.
