Can the included screws be used on a vinyl fence post?

Yes. I used the included screws on my vinyl gate over a year ago with now issues.

Is there a specific top or bottom to the handle? The picture makes it look like the handle is wider on the top.

This handle has no specific top or bottom. Both top and bottom dimensions are identical.
