I love that every joke is different and that they have the answer in the back of the card (I’ve seen some with the answer in the front) with room for a personal message on the backs. They are a thick paper material so they are durable They are colorful and appealing to the eye The only downside (if any) is that some (not too many) of the jokes are harder to understand for a 1st grader but my 3rd grader gets all of them. That said, when I think it may be tough to understand I use the space in the back to clarify it.
