Easy to use, works great!! I have a home closet project, bought cabinets from Ikea. They look awesome. But, after getting the last shelf in, I turned to the last part, installing under shelf lighting. Pro tip - if you buy cabinets and lights from Ikea, INSTALL THE CORDS BEFORE SECURING TO THE WALL!!! So, after several home remedy ideas, it occurred to me to buy a fish snake thingee, to see if that would help with getting the cable from the junction box to the light. Basically I have a small hole drilled in the back panel, and need to go several feet to the junction box. I needed something to snake along the back and then make a turn at the corner (there is about and inch between the cabinet wall and the closet wall. Lo and behold, this works like a charm. The only thing I had to do was adjust the tip, because the back of the cabinet was very narrow, and I didn't want to drill more holes, but it would only snake up or down, until I took one loop off the end (it does not affect anything, the metal is very sturdy). 10 seconds later, cord installed. Now, only 10 more to go, but I feel much better about the situation. Meaning, it went 20 inches and then made a 90 degree turn, going 22 inches, and I easily attached the cord to the end, then pulled it back. It can stick on the corner, but a quick poke and boom, journey continues to the hole. (And no, this was not a Seinfeld spit situation, it really made the 90 degree turn!) For the puller, it's easy to use. It is manual, but easy to retract and extend the cable. Nothing wrong with it (no scratches, loose parts, etc.) Definitely a problem solver for this particular situation. Next, I will see how it pulls a beer from the fridge to the couch, but for now, it's my new best tool in the arsenal for do-it-yourself.

I somehow lost my fish tape thankfully good old amazon came through. It does what it needs to do. Added to my electrical set. Heavy duty and smooth

First, this is a good quality fish tape that is the right balance of sturdiness and flexibility. The last foot or so is perfectly straight and the rest of the tape comes off the reel with very little curl to it. However, you have to apply some tension to the tape as you wind it up. Especially the last 5-10 feet. If you don't, it will get bound up inside the reel and you'll struggle to get it untangled. But just hold pressure on the tape as you wind it up and it stores just fine! This is because of how straight the tape comes off the roll. If it were easier to roll up, the tape would also have an annoying curl to it. I know -- I have another tape (GB brand) that is so curly I almost can't use it. But it rolls up easily! There is one change I'd like to make. I wish the foot markings started at 1 at the end of the tape. I'd like to know how many feet of tape I've pushed into the conduit I'm fishing. Since the foot marking start at 50 and then count down, I just know how many feet are left on the reel. I have to subtract from 50 to see how many feet I've pushed out.

This was my first time installing wired security cameras, and this Klein Tools fish tape made pulling the cables through the walls and ceiling so much easier. It was sturdy, easy to use, and saved me a lot of time and frustration. I would definitely recommend it to anyone installing wired cameras or running cables.

Used to fish some electrical wires through my wall Worked well

Had to replace a "blue" fish tape because a piece of plastic broke that kept the tape from enrolling. Hopefully this brand will last longer. It is supposed to be a better quality fish tape. Time will tell.

Great tape/dispenser for the price ... the steel is very durable, can get a little "sticky" coming out/going into the dispenser, but that's normal for a cable that's coiled like this ... you just pull/push it back/forth a little as you're extending/rewinding it, and it rights itself as you go along. Got the job done for me!

I recently decided to set up Ethernet routing throughout my house to improve our internet for the kids’ online schoolwork and our family movie nights, and the Klein Tools 50-Foot Electrical Fish Tape has been an absolute game-changer! This tool made running the cables through the walls a breeze. The 50-foot steel wire puller is sturdy and flexible, easily navigating through tight corners and long runs without any hassle. The double loop tip was perfect for grabbing and pulling the Ethernet cables without snagging, and I really appreciated the optimized housing—it kept the tape neatly coiled and easy to handle, even during longer projects. The handle is comfortable to grip, which made the whole process less tiring on my hands. I was able to get our entire home wired up in a single weekend, and now our internet is faster and more reliable than ever. My kids are thrilled with their lag-free Zoom calls, and I’m happy knowing our streaming nights won’t be interrupted by buffering. This Klein Tools fish tape is a 5-star must-have for any dad tackling home wiring projects—it’s reliable, well-designed, and made my Ethernet setup a total success!

easy to use

Excellent product. Worked perfectly.

I saw reports of cheaper versions of this tool not being very durable, being hard to use etc. I decided to bite the bullet and buy this KLEIN tools version. I am pleased I did. The tool is easy to use, the steel tape is not coated in loads of oil, it rolls back into its casing quite easily. It is etched at 1 foot intervals which is something I had not thought about before purchasing but proved very useful. I am glad I bought this product and not a cheaper imitation.
