The light at the end of the tool is good but I really like a bigger light so I use a light my boyfriend has that I can hold in my left hand while I have the scoop tool in my right hand. As a former dental hygienist I felt I could tackle with assurance of what I was dealing with. The light is great and eventually- the tool worked after much gagging! The product comes with multiple sized scoops. The only thing that is worth noting is the scoops are plastic- so make sure to wash and disinfect after use.
