Review: Super great sand for my tank. - It's nice larger grain sand. Its not blindingly white but it isn't yellow. I rinsed it inside of my aquarium since I got both the same day and its 2 and a half-ish gallons. So it wasn't a big deal to sit it in the bath tub for a good rinse. It settled right to the bottom with no issues. It barely even created any clouds before I was done with the first rinse. It looks really great and I would buy it again if I ever got another tank.

**Q: Is this white white or tan**
A: The sand looks more white than tan to me.  I really like the way it looks in my little 5 gal. Betta aquarium with live plants and my little fella "Finn" who is dark red.  Very nice.

**Q: How many pounds is recommended for a 10 gallon tank?**
A: I ordered 5 lbs. for my five gallon tank and it barely covered the bottom. It's really nice sand and I would order it again.

**Q: is this for freshwater fish like guppies and angels?**
A: i used for fresh water .

A: Hi, it's silicate sand.

It's nice larger grain sand. Its not blindingly white but it isn't yellow. I rinsed it inside of my aquarium since I got both the same day and its 2 and a half-ish gallons. So it wasn't a big deal to sit it in the bath tub for a good rinse. It settled right to the bottom with no issues. It barely even created any clouds before I was done with the first rinse. It looks really great and I would buy it again if I ever got another tank.

The finer grains of sand kept getting into the water column but once everything settled made its way to the bottom and under the lager grains. Overall very good! Don’t mess with it too much, let the sand settle!
