An artist sometimes will use a brush into the product and will "paint" a picture , graphite powder is a pencil without the clay . Graphite for drawing comes in a range of hardnesses, for different darkness of marks. Graphite for use as a lubricant is very fine, very hard, and probably screened for impurities. Artist graphite powder is meant for drawing on paper and such, and is usually courser, medium hardness or soft, depending on the darkness desired. While lubricant certainly will make marks on paper, art supplies probably are not good as mechanical tools. **Q: Would like to know if you can use this product inside a powder measure for reloading? If you can use this first before you put in powder to make sure** A: we used it to dry out soom powder that had gotten damp and it work out fine. **Q: For those using this on your Mandalorian armor, once it's rubbed and buffed in thoroughly will it rub off without a clear top coat?** A: Wet/tacky fingers can make a very small amount rub off. HOWEVER…adding a clear coat will greatly diminish the shiny luster of the graphite… So it’s a “catch 22” situation. It worked especially well on things like swords, robots and metallic characters where I wanted a bit of extra shine and realism without painting.A single tub also goes a very long way.
