Way better than safety glasses for yard work
I am allergic to grass, so I have been wearing a 3M mask and safety glasses whenever I mow, do weed eating, and as well as any kind of chainsaw and/or wood work. I have now ALSO developed an allergy to glasses on the bridge of my nose and I cannot wear safety glasses anymore. As a matter of fact, I had to have a precancerous spot frozen off the bridge of my nose from my prolonged use of safety glasses. (!) If I wear any kind of glasses, regardless of the 4 different nose bridge/pad materials I've tried, my skin gets irritated to the point it takes 4-5 days for the irritation to subside. I finally pulled the trigger and got this face guard, and let me tell you it does a way better job of keeping dirt, dust, and grasses out of my eyes than safety glasses ever did. I should have purchased this 20 years ago. This face shield is a dream come true. Even when the wind is blowing dust clouds my direction I get nothing in my eyes. This is an absolute joy to wear while I'm trimming trees with the chainsaw too. There are times I actually forget that this thing is on. When I'm done at the end of the day I simply rinse it off at the sink and use a sponge with some dish soap to clean it up. Safety glasses were okay, but now when I'm using the weed eater nothing ever hits me in the cheek anymore. This face shield makes safety glasses seem innaffective. Instead of a 3M filter type mask I now wear a thin balaclava underneath the face shield. Unlike my previous setup, I never get steam or fog inside of my face shield. 👍👍👍 The knob on the back is very handy for adjusting the tension of the headband, and is easily adjustable even with thick chainsaw gloves on. The hard blue plastic at the top on the front acts as a miniature hard hat: I cannot tell you how many times a branch has hit that thing while I was mowing or doing some weed eating underneath the trees. 👍👍

Worth the Money & give great coverage
I like this shield for several reasons. There is a knob on the back that adjusts to your head size and the cover on the head is comfortable. The shield wraps around the side of head to your ears. The shield is long and goes to near your chest but doesn't touch it. I can lift up the shield to stay put at certain angles. I can wear my mask underneath the shield comfortably and breath comfortably. People can hear me talking with it on, I don't have to yell. The only negative for me was I had a hard time snapping the shield cover into its holding slot. I was scared I might break the shield but I got it to snap to the head frame. But that's all you have to put together. The head frame is already put together. I was worried I might be at loss by buying this but I am so glad I did! I hope the prices don't go up cuz then I won't be able to buy another when I get more money too. Great Invention who ever made this. Thank you for making me feel more safe when I venture to the stores during this pandemic.

A must have for ppe
If you value your vision and only wear cheap crappy unrated glasses.. Don't let cheapness be the reason your family has to feed you the rest of your life because you're blind. I'm not trying to say this'll stop a bullet. Because it won't. What it will do is slow down whatever sharp and dangerous objects that fly towards your eyes. Which you should cover under this with ANSI rated protection! The product itself states this item isn't designed to be worn by itself.. I know I'm supposed to review the item so here it is. Great comfort to me, stays where you want it. After a few hours you're probably going to be sick of the clamping feeling on your head but that's really unavoidable on any product for 8hrs +. I wish It was a harder surface. You have to be careful where you set it down because after enough times setting it on sharp metal or glass you'll be looking through a nice mosaic of lines you can't do anything about. You can replace the plastic pretty easy. But would be nice if you didn't have to if it was harder! No real issues / complaints here.

Comfortable and good protection!
I do a lot of grinding/cutting and while I wear safety glasses, I found that they weren't providing the protection I needed and tended to get in the way when wearing a mask so I wasn't breathing fine aluminum particles. So I picked this up and I've been using it and it's really solved the problems of sparks and small bits of material flying everywhere. It's also pretty comfortable to wear because it's pretty adjustable- head diameter is a simple knob which works great, but how high it sits on your head is done via a plastic adjuster much like those on cheap baseball caps. The shield easily is raised for those times you want to inspect something close or have a quick drink/etc. And unlike my safety glasses, the shield doesn't get as fogged up as easily, which is nice. Honestly, the only negative about this is two things: 1. The shield has to be installed and it's a PITA to do. I was really afraid of breaking something, but it did finally go in. Not sure why it has to be _that_ difficult, but it's something to pay attention to. Definitely pay attention and make sure you have everything lined up or you can easily break it. 2. Due to the design, it does make wearing over the head ear protection more difficult. For short period use, I generally end up placing the band behind my head and for longer sessions I'll wear in-ear protection. Not sure I'd be willing to pay extra for integrated hearing protection which would work better, but if you're using this a lot it's something to consider. For hobby use like mine, it's fine.

Made in USA
Quality is excellent, fit is adjustable and shield is clear and thick. No problem with fogging, even when wearing a dust mask and additional safety glasses. Highly recommend if you are using a grinder or router. Both are high speed tools that can sometimes send things flying real fast. With this shield the entire area of your face is protected along with most of your neck. Much cheaper than a emergency room visit.

The best for me.
I have an average to average-large head, depending on the sizing chart you look at. This is by far the most comfortable face shield I've used, to the point I almost forget it's on. There's almost no distortion at all, it's crystal clear, and while it does fog slightly I find breathing though my nose eliminates it almost entirely. I can't recommend this enough, A++ Things to note: Polycarbonate is tough stuff, but it isn't immune to scratches. I don't use my shirt, and I definitely don't use a work-gloved hand to wipe it off. Use some cheap automotive micro-fiber towels and a light touch to clean it off and things should go fine. The shields are replaceable. To assemble, take note of the retention clips and line up the holes. Use a moderate-firm pressure and it should pop right in. (If this seems obvious? You might be surprised. I've seen several asking about these topics.)

Buy it ! Use it!
For years I've relied on my glasses for protection. After buying this faceshield, I'm surprised how often I use it. The headband is easily adjustable and fits well. The helmet stays in place whether I'm looking straight ahead or down. I've worn it while using a power sander and a benchtop grinder. I store my helmet in a modified pillow cover to protect the shield from scratches. I should have bought this years ago! I purchased this brand because it is 3M. I trust 3M.

Excellent mask. I use this while weed-eating on my ...
Excellent mask. I use this while weed-eating on my farm. They do not fog up and they offer whole face protection. Forget the screen mesh models and go with the solid shield instead. This particular model is adjustable to your head and the face shield material is of excellent quality since after months of use, there are no chips from rocks or such. It cleans very easy and I am very satisfied with this product. I purchased a replacement face shield and after several months of heavy use I have not had a need to install it yet. Because of its durability, it does not seem like I would ve purchasing another face shield s=for some time to come, but when that time comes, I will purchase this product once again. Highly recommended.

Excellent industrial grade face shield
This is a well made product that stays in place. It is easy to adjust and you can make it fit tight if you are moving around a lot amd don't want it to slide off. The IS NOT a light weight virus screen. It is designed to protect your face from flying objects, sparks, fragments etc. I really like the fact the shield comes down to cover your throat. Nobody wants a grinding wheel fragment in the jugular. Don't listen to the virus princesses, yes wearing protective equipment can be uncomfortable all day, but millions of people wear them everyday in industrial environments. If you want to pretend to block viruses, get a cheaper light weight one. This one is for protection from serious injury.

Face shield super
This is 3M quality. I use this as a face shield during work. It’s a tad heavy- they coul have made it lighter by using carbon fiber or graphite. But still a great face protector

The best for safety
This helmet is comfortable and can quickly be adjusted to fit over a hat or beanie. The 3M faceshield is thick polycarbonate (1/16" or 2.6mm) which is ideal for cutting and grinding steel. The clear face shield is far enough from your face that breathing normally doesn't fog up your view. It also extends past your chin, so if your grinding disc explodes your neck will be protected.

Very good against flying shards; not so comfortable as Covid shield for prolonged use
I bought this for use at work as an added layer against Covid; disposable mask worn under. It's relatively light, about 8 oz, and fully adjustable & comfortable. I like that you can buy replacement polycarbonate lens if needed, and the fact that the ratcheting lens assembly can be flipped up easily. However, 8 oz seems much heavier if you wear this for more than an hour or so. After a full shift it is heavy, enough to give you a headache. For it' s primary intended function of protecting your face & eyes from flying metal & other foreign objects, it is very good. But for more prolonged use as a "spit" guard vs Covid, it gets very uncomfortable if worn for hours.
