Is this accurate ? Thank you.

NO, this tester is NOT accurate. I performed a fasting test on myself 30 minutes prior to an official Labcorp laboratory test of my fasting glucose and Hb-a1c. This meter read 116 (supposedly indicating prediabetes), while the lab showed 93 (normal). As confirmation, my official Hb-a1c was 5.4 (below the bottom of the prediabetes range of 5.7-6.5). With an inaccurate result 23 points too high, this meter is not useful for even estimating a general range.

Does this meter light up near the test strip

No light at the test strip slot.

what type of strips will accu-chek guide me take? i currently am using accu-chek active meter and strips.

The accu-chek active meter uses the Accu-Chek Guide Glucose Test Strips, Diabetic Supplies (Pack of 100) (see link below which is the best price at the moment ) https://www.amazon.com/Accu-Chek-Guide-Glucose-Test-Strips/dp/B087NPJX1W/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=K02C0GSXDDWI&dchild=1&keywords=accu-chek+guide+me+test+strips&qid=1631829728&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&smid=A2141S3R532129&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUExR1RQOVBNR0xDVzRNJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwNjI2MDQxMzZHUElLRkNWOVlCNCZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwMzc1MDYwS1MyVkdETzhaU1M1JndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==
