Discover the science that's really behind your everyday cosmetics and personal care. Discovering Cosmetic Science takes you on an eye-opening journey into the fascinating world of cosmetic science. Perfect for curious consumers, beauty lovers and anyone who wants to understand what they're putting on their skin, this book breaks down the complex science behind everyday products in an easy, engaging way. You'll uncover: The truth behind common beauty myths and marketing claims. How ingredients like Vitamin E, iron oxides, and natural moisturisers work. Why your skin, though just 1 mm thick, is one of nature's most incredible barriers. How clever chemistry turns simple ingredients into cleansers, toothpastes, creams, lipsticks, and more, that really perform. With fun facts, science-backed insights and clear explanations, Discovering Cosmetic Science shows that cosmetics aren't superficial at all but where art, innovation and science meet. If you've ever looked at your toothpaste, face cream, shaving foam or foundation and wondered how they work and how they're made, this book is your new go-to guide. Recomendado
Muy buen libro, para introducción a la cosmética es muy interesante y bien explicado. Esta en ingles, pero si tienes algo de manejo en el idioma, se entiende perfectamente, no usa lenguaje excesivamente técnico.

Lovely
Read this on holiday, really enjoyed it! These kind of things can be hit and miss because some approach you as you are a child and others Einstein. However, this found a happy medium that provided informed and intelligent discussions to help your understanding. Found it really informative and interactive.
