## Overview

The Wera 8100 SB 6 SPEED 3/8" Drive 29-piece metric set combines German engineering precision with practical design: a ratchet featuring 72 fine teeth for a minimal 5° return angle, a pivoting head locking in 5 positions, and a comprehensive socket and bit range. Its push-button release and thumbwheel direction switch enable fast, tool-free operation, all housed in a sleek, durable textile case ideal for professional automotive and mechanical maintenance.

## Description

Stepping up from a 1/4"" drive set to 3/8"" gives you the torque capacity for larger automotive and mechanical fasteners — and the Wera 8100 SB 6 brings the same mechanical advantages found across Wera's Zyklop Speed line to that larger drive size. A freely pivoting ratchet head locks into 5 positions, so you keep full turning power in confined engine-bay or equipment spaces without constantly repositioning the tool. The ratchet mechanism uses 72 fine teeth for a 5° return angle, letting you make progress with barely a flick of the wrist where swing clearance is tight. A push-button release swaps bits and sockets in seconds without extra tools, and a built-in thumbwheel switches direction instantly. This 29-piece set covers 9 sockets from 8mm to 19mm, a long extension and wobble extension with free-turning sleeves, a bit adaptor, and 22 bits spanning Phillips, Pozidriv, TORX, slotted, and hex profiles — enough range for general automotive and mechanical maintenance work. Everything travels in a durable textile case that stands upright for tidy shelf storage and stays lighter and more compact than a rigid plastic case. It's a complete 3/8"" drive system from a brand built on German precision engineering.

Review: Beautifully made! - This kit is very high quality, at least in appearance and feel. I bought it as a gift for my son and he has yet to use it, but I don't expect any problems. The case is very nicely made, the sockets lock into place in it and the tools are held by straps. I'm a little concerned that the straps for the ratchet will wear out, they have to stretch quite a bit to insert the tool. Everything is so well made, with a satin finish on the metal and positive latching of the pieces as you assemble them. The detents on the ratchet allow for small movements to be made. It's certainly pricey, however I hope it lasts him until he's at least my age!
Review: Excellent Kit - Wera tools are pricey. No question about it. But I find they are worth the money in general. This set I bought to use as a motorcycle tool kit. Its not expensive for a good motorcycle tool kit. I have a BMW R1150. With this set if I have problems I'll have a much better chance of fixing it and heading down the road. Wera chooses their components very carefully. It has most everything I would need for repairs on the road in a small kit. And it is extremely well made and actually a pleasure to use.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Swivel head Wera ratchet screwdriver set
*by M***F on September 15, 2024*

Just another high quality product from Wera. You can get into some very tight awkward areas with this swivel head ratchet with extensions.. just wish it didn't command such a high price. But far cheaper than snap-on and nearly the same or better quality. Course the warranties a little tougher to deal with.. if you ever even need it that is..
