This set allows the woodworker to build doors from 5/8- Inch to 1-1/4- Inch thickness and any length long tenon construction for rock-solid joints that last a lifetime. Top portion of cutter, including bearing and spindle, is removed to produce the front of the long tenon profile for blind tenons, through tenons, or bridle joints. Imagine creating rattle free flat panel doors. Adjustable shims enable both a tight fit when using plywood panels and the ability to use thick panels ( from 5.5mm to 6.35mm ). The unique cutter geometry virtually elimantes tearout. This set features Freud's 99-571 2 + 2 raised panel bit w/backcutter. Two small wings that cut downward and two large wings that shear upward, produce an extremely smooth cut in hardwoods, softwoods and even plywoods. This revolutionary design is combined with a backcutter so that, in one step, you can create a flawless raised panel door that is flush with the frame on both sides. Bits feature Freud's Perma-Shield coating to resist heat and pitch build up along with rust, and Freud's TiCo Hi-Density Carbide to maximize bit life and material finish. This set is designed for use on table-mounted portable routers. Optional cutters are available for double sided profile doors (99-861) and glass panel doors (54-760) with variable thicknesses and long tenons for perfecting matching profiles on all doors because it's the same set of router bits. This set produces an ogee profile. All bits are 1/2- Inch shank, plus set comes with an attractive wooden storage box. ## Features - Specs: Shank Dia. 1/2" - Each set includes Freud's Quadra-Cut and Premier Adjustable Rail & Stile technology - Includes attractive wooden storage box - Cuts all composition materials, plywoods, hardwoods, and softwoods - Freud Perma-SHIELD Coating ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B002ZG7PZA | | Best Sellers Rank | #423,759 in Tools & Home Improvement ( See Top 100 in Tools & Home Improvement ) #65 in Router Door & Window Bits | | Brand | Freud | | Brand Name | Freud | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 103 Reviews | | Cut Type | Quadra-Cut | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00008925087625 | | Included Components | Cabinet Door Making Sets Router Bit | | Item Diameter | 0.5 inches | | Item Type Name | Router CNC | | Item Weight | 3.7 pounds | | Manufacturer | Freud | | Material | Blend | | Material Type | Blend | | Model | 97-260 | | Number of Flutes | 2 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Part Number | 97-260 | | Size | One Size | | Size Name | One Size | | UPC | 008925087625 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Warranty Description | Freud Limited Tooling Warranty. But the picture of the stile on the front of the box shows 5/8-1" thickness for the stile?** A: The instructions included with the set states "your premier adjustable Stile and Rail bit set is suitable for stock from 5/8" to 1 1/4"." I measured the vertical cutting capacity of all three bits. Both the panel and rail bits have a potential vertical cut of at least 1 1/4". The stile bit appears to have a vertical cut of 1" when all spacers are used. My impression is that when cutting stiles of 1 1/4" you would not need over a 1" capacity cutter due to the nature of the cut. However, I must state that i'm not an expert in these matters. **Q: does this set come with setup block** A: No it does not, but the set-up is done from the factory on the cutters and the setup in the router is pretty simple. The bits tend to bounce around in the case during shipment. Take a good luck at the cutting edges when you get them. **Q: are these shaker or cove? the image showes cove on the box and shaker in the box** A: You can make either shaker or cove. To make shaker style just rout the stiles & rails and make the panels out of 1/4" material. The stiles & rails are the same for either cove and shaker style. **Q: Many say you need a 2 1/2 hp or bigger router. for the raised panel bit, correct? plan to use table saw to take off most of the cut. 2 hp router here.** A: It is possible to receive satisfactory results with a 2 1/2 HP router mounted under table but you need a few careful partial practice cuts before expecting acceptable final results ## Frequently Bought Together - Freud 97-260: 3 Piece Premier Adjustable Cabinet Bit Set - Space Balls (Bag of 100) - Freud Premier Adj Rail & Stile Bit w/1/2" Shank - Shaker Profile 99-762 --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.no/products/1895546-freud-97-260-3-piece-premier-adjustable-cabinet-bit-set](https://www.desertcart.no/products/1895546-freud-97-260-3-piece-premier-adjustable-cabinet-bit-set) --- *Product available on Desertcart Norway* *Store origin: NO* *Last updated: 2026-10-06*
