Sunblock SunScreen - Unscented

Got this for the grandchildren on a beach vacation last summer. It is free of harmful chemicals and works very well to protect the little ones skin from the sun.

This is an excellent and effective product! Definitely check this sunblock out! Non-Nano, no chemicals, and scent free so it's fantastic to wear if you have sensitivities. When first applied your skin will be tinted white from the zinc content, but it soon fades. If you sweat or you're in water, then yes, reapply periodically, as the product clearly states 80-minute water resistant. If you consider that as being inconvenient then reconsider what is in a lotion that sticks to your skin after it has been wet for extended periods! For someone who has worked outdoors for many years use of this product has actually cleared up much of that gritty, large-pore look to facial skin, and even toned some pigment. Since using it daily, the condition of skin which was scarred from Cryosurgery looks so much better. We were recommended this product by a natural health professional. Following extensive research on the safety of ingredients in many sunscreen products, this one comes out on top! So glad that Amazon has it available! We also received a professional followup email from 3rd Rock, confirming this is an excellent company offering a sound product.

It took a little bit of time for me to review this sunscreen. Initially, i can say I did not love it. The feel is different than any other sunscreen I have tried, and I did not particularly like the smell. The feel to me is more like putting on a layer, instead of it completely absorbing into the skin like most ore sunscreens. I have been using it now for over a month, typically when I run or swim in the San Diego sun, or have to spend a long day at a swim meet (I am a part-time swim coach). I have gotten used to the smell which reminds me of Palmers Cocoa Butter. And I absolutely LOVE that this product is natural and does indeed work to protect my skin. I am not an 'everyday sunscreen fanatic' by any means, even though I probably should be due to the amount of time I spend outside in the California sun. I am trying to use it more often and avoid looking like my leather couch. I am very pleased and even purchased a second bottle for my daughter.

Don't really care for it. The smell is hard to get past and the fact that your skin is greasy and tacky feeling forever afterward was a total disappointment. I rubbed and rubbed to get my skin to look skin color instead of white, which took forever. I put it on and then went outside to do some yard work. Afterward, I felt like a dirtball because all of the dust and dirt just stuck to me. This isn't a product to be used by active people unless you're spending the day lounging at the beach.

This is a very high-quality sunscreen with no chemicals to damage coral or fish, which is why I bought it. It is not particularly oily nor thick like other mineral-based sunscreen. This sunscreen seems like it's good for your body and for the earth, and that impressed me! That said, it is suuupppper expensive. I bought this really quickly and didn't think about how small 3 oz is. It's small, guys. Did you know you're supposed to use one ounce (i.e., a shot glass full) of sunscreen to cover your entire body? (Nobody actually uses that amount, but still, that is what is generally recommended). That's about $6 per application, or three full applications per bottle... I bought this for a three month trip to Micronesia and ended up having to ration it for only those times I knew I would be swimming over coral, and used cheap, bad-for-the-environment sunscreen when I wasn't planning on swimming. Even so, every time I used it I felt like I was spreading truffle oil on my body or something.

I was looking for an everyday sunblock to protect my sun damaged skin. I am 55 and have done a lot of surfing. My skin looked bad after a surf trip this month so I started a skin care routine which includes this product and the nami emu oil. I love that this product is food grade as it feels very nice on the skin {un-like regular sunblock} A little bit goes a long way on the face and neck.I got a complement at work that my skin looked nice after first putting it on.It does not look greasy and the wax they add to it makes me feel moisturized/ protected against the elements. It is a little hard to rub in because of the zinc but I absolutely love this product and would like to thank the people who invented it!

I just bought my second bottle of 3rd Rock Sunblock this summer. It really works - using it, I didn't get sunburned at daylong summer swim meets in Houston! It stays put (out of my eyes and mouth) for running and cycling. It doesn't make my allergic skin red or itchy. It has a subtle herbal fragrance that doesn't leave me gasping for an inhaler. It isn't sticky. It washes off with soap and water. The only drawback I have found is that you need to give it a minute (probably less than a minute...) to warm on your skin for the whitish cast to disappear. So, you really do need to put it on before you play in the sun or risk looking a bit silly for a minute. This is a great product!

Works Ok but check the size you are ordering. This comes in a rather small tube for the high price. I’ll go with the plenty of other natural options that are not so pricey.

Being fairly new to the ethical world, I wanted to ditch my old sunblocks for something that was better for the planet, better for me and more natural. This seemed like a good, if VERY expensive, choice. Since my early 20s, I have worn a sunblock on my face to help prevent premature ageing which was to be the intended use for this. However, the sunblock is so thick and pasty as to be completely unusable if you want to look anything less than ghost-like. Rubbing on the face is not pleasant as the cream is almost stiff, so it represents a bit of a battle. It does not absorb into the skin at all and spends all day long sitting on the surface, making a wonderfully sticky surface for all manner of things to attach themselves to. Even by the end of the day, it was still very evident. I don't want this review to be entirely negative as I am sure, in many ways, it is a good product. It meets the criteria of being natural, organic, better for you and, I suspect, on holiday in extreme sun it would do a very good job of blocking out the sun. But for my everyday needs to provide a barrier between my skin and that big orange ball in the sky, it didn't work out.

I have very sensitive skin and normally sun screen brings me out in a rash, so this was a gamble. It has paid off. No rash and the cream makes the skin very soft. It does have a slight medical smell but that soon fades.

i received a bottle that had exploded, and the content was all thick with clusters. Texture was very greasy, so i googled the ingredients : as it turns out, you should NOT use this if you have cystic acne. I returned it. It's maybe an ok product for body, but definitely not for face.

Doesn't come in this packaging which was fine the description says it might not. the lotion feels like prickly paste when you put it on I have tried a lot of zinc spfs and this one is by far the worst. I have really dry skin and this barely moved around on my skin and I am pretty sure dried me out even more. I would not recommend this I only used it on my face so maybe it works better on body but most definitely not for face.

I have used this sunscreen before and really like that it is non toxic!! However I think it makes my face breakout so I only use it on my body. It is quite thick and somewhat greasy feeling
