The built-in travel limits eliminated the need for me to install & wire my own and the travel & force was perfect for my application. The factory solenoid actuator this replaced would have cost 8X as much and might not have installed as intended... the factory couldn't guarantee the fit on my engine model. I teamed this up with a mini DPDT relay that could be hidden inside the engine housing and 3D printed the parts required for the installation. It moves about 3mm per quick press as well. I'd also say add a speed controller or add a resistor in-line to drop it to 6 volts or just go to a 6 volt system. These are set up to move a certain speed and distance on a 12 volt system.
