Review: Corner bird aviary with seed skirt, Flyline. - Flyline small Corner Bird Cage Aviary. This cage is huge, narrower spacing all around for smaller birds, finches, budgies, canaries, ? small love birds, don't know if they're called conures. Those reviewers who bought this cage for approx $199 for bigger birds is clearly not suitable for large, heavier stronger birds. The ? wires for lack of better term aren't thick & rigid enough to support heavy cups of water & attachments, bird weight climbing on sides, hanging from roof, strong beaks and large claws. So those who rated the smaller cage as feeble for large birds is not fair to manufacturer. The jumbo cage is designed for the big birds & will therefore cost more. Would give scores: 20 stars if possible for design & size 5 stars seller - answered my prepurchase question(s) promptly, received delivery a few days sooner than was due, boxes were factory sealed, undamaged from UPS ground shipping. Quality control from factory prior to packaging lacks some, large pieces undamaged, bottom slide out drawer had a small bend on 1 end but easily adjusted with pliers. Seed skirt surround had 2 minor dents on bottom, not very visible but quickly adjusted w pliers anyway. No missing parts, had a few extra screws left. No inventory list or detailed directions for 1 bag of hardware, screws, long, medium, & short, washers, nuts, 2 tools. The instruction sheet small pics, some details inaccurately pictured. 2 people quicker assembly, seed skirt not possible w 1 person. Being alone, did hardware inventory, matched panel tops w bottoms, zip tied them, lay down on floor sequentially, assembled large panel perpendicular to the other same, flipped to opposite side attached narrower panels perpendicular to floor, put roof, then screwed wheels in when laying down on floor, stood it upright then door, to sliding spades mentioned below, the cup rings, tightened all. Frustrating remaining 2 multiple bar pcs, the metal seed trays, surround skirt. Needing break overnight desperately, created temporary floor with seed screens attached zip ties to highest rung at bottom so birds couldn't get out, paper on top. So grateful in am, son came over to help figure out remaining parts where to attach... The 2 multiple bar supports units go in middle under the floor one above the other, screw the ends to front and back of cage. The lowest bar supports left and right seed trays, the higher supports left and right seed screens. They will slide in and out, the 2 remaining spades go in holes above the seed screens. The longest screws are for assembling the walls, door and roof together. The medium screws are for the stainless dish holders and they do need to be screwed with plate facing downward so bowls clear the frame above & below additionally screws aren't exposed to bird with plate down. Several pieces shaped like a spade in playing cards? are for the single holes above big door, top shelf door, above the 4 doors cup rings, above the 2 seed screens. The washers go behind the spade and in front of hole so the spade hangs more vertically than slightly outward without the washer. With the washer you can tighten screws more but the slider is still easy to open and close. The shortest screws and the nuts (inside) are for the seed surround to attach each side to the next, this step needs 2 people or very difficult alone. Similar cages cost double-triple. I would buy this cage again, would recommend but warn putting together not for the impatient or quitters. Birds are very happy with so much space, we love it, can't get over the design and size for the cost. A+***** I will try to post pictures, until then above long detail should reduce wasted time & frustration.
Review: Don’t let the crappy instructions stop you! - Like most people said, the instructions left a lot to be desired but with some patience it can be put together quite easily. I’ll admit I did get a lot of help from some of the other reviews (thank you) so if you are struggling look through them and you will figure it all out. I was able to put it together by myself in a few hours minus the seed skirt because that will take 2 people. You definitely want to put the bottom together first and then attach the top pieces instead of following the way the pictures suggest you assemble it. Make sure you have the door hinges on the right and check for screw placements on the top part of the cage with the cage top. Other than that I’d say the seed skirt was the most challenging thing. It arrived in 2 boxes with all parts and pieces. One of the caster legs were bent (it was easily bent back into place) and I couldn’t align one of the screw holes which didn’t effect the overall assembly. As for the cage it’s self, it’s wonderful! For the price it really can’t be beat. I did a lot of shopping around and this is a really good deal. Even though I looked at the dimensions the cage is much bigger than I had pictured as you can see from where I have it in the room. It will be moved to a different corner with a window shortly. For now I’m keeping it where the old cage was until I know my bird is completely happy with it. Speaking of Harley, my desertcart Grey, for the most part she adjusted to her new environment in a little more than a day which made me very happy. She loves the space she now has and seems to really like the top of the cage being flat without an added jungle gym. I made sure to put up more perches so she has many places to sit while getting used to the additional height. Overall I give it 5 stars ⭐️The cage is well worth the crappy installation instructions so it doesn’t seem fair to deduct for that. Harley and I are very happy with it!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: How many parakeets can fit in this cage?**
A: It's amazing what you can find on the internet if you look. Here's a handy budgie cage size calculator. Plug in your dimensions (I did 43x43x72) and it will give you the number of birds. 35 in my case here. Amazing! I can't vouch for the accuracy or verifiability of the calculator. You'll have to take that up with them. Good luck.

**Q: This product says "jumbo" in the ad headliner, but then says "small" where it says size. What are the dimensions of this product?**
A: This corner cage is available in 2 sizes. XL size is temporarily out of stock,
S size is: Bar Spacing: 5/8"
Bar Gauge: 1/8"
Dimensions: H63.5 x 30 x 30(without seed skirt)
Door size: H32 x W15.5

**Q: Can the grates be safely removed? Would the bird be able to escape if you removed the grates?**
A: There are slidable grates as well as seed trays that are removable under the wire grate bottom of the cage so that the seeds and mess can be cleaned without letting the birds out.

**Q: Do the birds actually use the space below or is there alot of wasted space?**
A: The birds definitely appreciate the extra space, and it is so easy to clean.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Convenient, space saving, large, functional cage! Great buy!
*by N***E on January 1, 2016*

I bought this for my GCC who has since passed, so I updated it with my set up for my sun conure. First, the good. The double bowls swing out and are convenient. Note that the top roof does NOT open, and the playtop they refer to is the little sunset above the door. The top is flat and allows for you to make your own play top that can be updated and rearranged, unlike the premade cages with playtops. Conveniently rolls. I roll it out of the corner every morning and sweep underneath, and the mess is gone. I will say that if you plan to leave the door/sunset open, put newspaper underneath. I put a plastic computer chair mat underneath as well. If you're in the market for a cage that's large, functional, and space saving, then don't let the negative comments about the directions deter you. As a 22 year old female who is not inclined in building, I had no trouble whatsoever. It took a little over an hour to assemble by myself. The directions are wordless, but it's mostly common sense. Now, to the bad. As you can see, a couple of my pieces arrived bent (not the makers fault, but the risk you take when shipping). My rectangular grate and seed catcher were bent. A large wall was bent and so was an edge on the roof, but luckily the metal is malleable enough that they bent back into place when I tightened all the screws. The seed catcher underneath is bent there as well. The tool they send to help screw the nuts/wheels was too small to screw in the wheels and I didn't have the tools so I had to waste more time trying to hand twist them in. The horizontal bars are easier bent than I expected. I would not put anything much larger than a conure in it or they will be able to bend the bars. So over all, after taking a moment to work through assembly, it's a great cage. Large, convenient, perfect for conures and similar sized birds. It has potential for a fun playtop. It's easy to clean. Easy to move and not super heavy. Plenty of space! It looks professional. Just be prepared if you're having it shipped that it may not be in pristine condition, but that's the post's fault. You will not find a cage so large and built so well for a cheaper price. Knowing what I know now, I would still buy this again!
