Decaf - Coffee Beans

For anyone who loves the ritual and flavor of grinding fresh coffee beans but wants or needs to skip the caffeine, finding a decent decaf bean can feel like a lost cause. Most of them taste flat, thin, or chemically altered. This 1KG bag from Black Donkey is an absolute game-changer. Flavor and Crema: The flavor profile is wonderfully robust and rich, drinking like a proper continental espresso. It is a medium-to-dark roast with a beautifully smooth, full-bodied texture and zero harsh bitterness. When run through a grinder and brewed (it performs exceptionally well in both bean-to-cup machines and manual espresso setups), it produces a lovely, thick, dark crema that you rarely see with decaffeinated beans. It carries deep, satisfying notes that cut through milk perfectly for a late-evening latte or flat white, but it’s clean and smooth enough to be enjoyed completely black. Quality of the Beans: Opening the 1KG bag, the beans are remarkably uniform, well-roasted, and have a healthy sheen without being excessively oily—meaning they won't clog up your machine's hopper or grinder burrs. The decaffeination process hasn't stripped away the natural oils and characteristics of the bean, leaving you with a fresh, aromatic cup every single time. Verdict: This is a top-tier, premium decaf that doesn't force you to compromise on taste or quality. Getting a full 1KG bag of whole beans at this standard is fantastic value for money. If you want a deeply satisfying, rich cup of coffee to enjoy in the afternoon or evening without messing up your sleep, this is the one to buy. Highly recommended!

Big fan of these, it's not easy to find a decent decaf coffee especially at such a good value, but this one is great. I've lost count of how many bags we've brought and will continue to buy. We have tried others, including more premium brands but always come back to this one.

A very nice tasting decaf. Good value for money.

I'm onto my 2nd kilo now, and very happy with the taste, crema and aroma.

Good depth of flavour easy to drink. I drink my coffee black and I love the experience of drinking this coffee. Good quality at a good price.

This coffee is really tasty, it's the best decaf I have tried so far! It has great smoothness and is a nice strength, just as described!

Only had a couple of coffees with this so far, tastes nice, not overly strong but enough to get the taste you're after. Not bitter- not as smooth as my usual well known brand but that could be because this is decaf. All in all a decent product

Had to change over to decaf.. this was recommended to me and I have been blown away with how good it tastes and how it behaves with my grinder.. had no issues whatsoever with it.. I’m on my 5th or 6 bag now.

Schmeckt wirklich gut!

Sehr gut im Geschmack und kein Bohnenbruch

Top kein bitterer Nachgeschmack
