The 12' length saved our sanity on our long road trip as it allowed our eldest child to control the screens for everyone. I originally purchased this cable, wanting something that would eliminate the hum the shorter stock-link cable had. It didn't get rid of the hum, but it was less noticeable, so it's clearly a well-shielded cable and reduced the crosstalk interference hum present with the stock cable. At first, I thought the length would be a problem, first fearing worse harm and the cable getting kinked or tangled up, but with how our children were seated in the van, the 12' length was perfect to route the link cable between the two screens with no tripping hazard or getting things tangled up. If your car DVD screen kit uses a Philips compatible cable to link the screen to the PWR+ cable, it is a great one to get and probably is better quality than the one that came with your DVD kit. Review: Better than manufactures cords... - We drive 800 miles every few months for surgeries for our son, this cord is not available in any department store. Best Buy, Walmart, Radio Shack, Target, you name it and they all say you can't get them. I found it on desertcart and it was at a decent price. We use a DVD player in the car for our sons to watch on the long trips, makes for a much better trip, however the original cord broke after only a month of service, yes I could have used a warranty to get a replacement, but this cord is much more durable. It has survived over 2400 hundred miles and still in great shape. ## Features - SPECS: 3.5mm to 3.5mm Male to Male Connection - Extra Long 12 Feet AV Cable (Audio+Video) - COMPATIBILITY: Philips Portable Dvd Players including Pb9001/37 Pb9011/37 Pd7012/37 Pd7016/37 Pd9012/37 Pd9016/37 Pet1030 Pet702 Pet706 Pet708 Pet710 Pet723 Pet726 Pet729/37 Pet7402/37 Pet741 Pet7422 Pet749/37 Pet824 Pet9402/37 Pet941 Pet941b/37 Pet9422 Pvd700/37 Pvd900/37; Pet9042/37b Pet941a Pet941d/37 ; Dcp852/37 Dcp855 ; Pb9001/37 Pb9011/37 Pd700/37 Pd700/37b Pd7012/37 Pd7016/07 Pd703 Pd703/37 Pd9000/37 Pd9003 Pd9012 Pd9016/37 Pd9030/37 ; Pt902/37 ; Pvd900 ; Ly02 Ly-02 Ay4128 Ay4133 Ay4197 - FEATURES: Seamlessly transmits audio and video, while ensuring reliability and reducing signal loss and noise - SAFETY: Pwr+ chargers and cords manufactured with the highest quality materials and include multiple smart features safeguarding against IV - incorrect voltage, SC - short circuit, IO - internal overheating.
