His had the Identiv brand, mine has the Hirsch brand. From what I can tell, the company is legit and their own website shows the Identiv product, but I cannot find any link between the two companies at time of review (July 2026).It connects fine with Type-C. Its a little stiff, but functionally works. When folded up, the reader portion is a little bigger than a 2x4 standard Lego brick minus the cable. Probably will buy another to have in my travel bag.
