Description

Out at Mojave Reef, waves pound the shore, satellites wheel overhead, whales cry in the abyss, and wolves patrol the pyramid-studded hills. You'll hear all these sounds and more on the CD that landed the Insect Surfers the 'Best Instrumental Band' award from the L.A. Weekly. Sometimes featuring a slightly more psychedelic edge, the Insects work in their trademark twin guitar leads with all kinds of exotic field recordings-ocean waves, jungles, crickets, whales, dragsters, etc.---just perfect for your surfin' and instro soundscapes! Plus more high-energy rocka rolla and spaghetti westerns! Recorded at Ray Bradbury's old rec-brick fortress house in Venice,CA. Cover art by our underground comics legend pal Mary Fleener.

Incest Surfers rock with Mojave Reef!

The Insect Surfers are not just surf revivalist, which would be fine in and of itself, they can make new music and make it their own. Hear guys are great hi-energy instrumentalists. Certainly one of the best out there today. This CD is a primary example. I highly recommend it!
