Easy to fill with top coming off completely. Pouring spout is easy and works really well. Get this if you’re debasing. fits a whole 5lb bag of sugar. Love it! Review: Great replacement for the old Progressive Prokeeper Coffee Keeper - About 7 years ago, I moved all of my baking supplies from Oxo Pop containers, to Progressive Prokeepers and it was a great choice. I have multiples of this particular container, holding various flours and even brown sugar. Most recently, I bought this one because I dropped my coffee keeper, and it shattered. I keep my coffee keeper on a scale, to keep my coffee fresh and allow auto-orders to trigger automatic orders when coffee gets low. Progressive doesn't make the older style of coffee keeper anymore, and the cost to buy one was very high. But this brown sugar container is the same size and at least close in weight to the coffee keeper. The coffee keeper is tinted, but I keep my coffee beans in the bag, so my main concern was protecting my beans from oxygen. It has worked fine as a replacement. So I'm happy. ## Features - Airtight Silicone Seal keeps brown sugar fresh longer - Keep fresh terracotta disk & tamper included - 1.5 Qt (1.4 L) stores a standard 2 lb bag of brown sugar - Dishwasher safe. Maybe the non-progressive doesn't have that disk in it? Of course, you could just put a piece of bread in the sugar container you already have and it will soften the sugar **Q: is there a replacement terra cotta disk for the brown sugar keeper?** A: You can find terra-cotta discs right here on Amazon. Search for “brown sugar keeper”. **Q: Why is this listed as 12.99 but it’s actually over 20 bucks?** A: Probably taxes and shipping applied to cost from your states tax reqirements. **Q: Can you store anything else in here besides brown sugar?** A: Your brown sugar stays fresh thanks to the airtight seal of this container. Wet the included terra-cotta disk and drop it directly into the sugar to keep it moist. Of course, if it's your container, you should store whatever you wish. Thanks for asking. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ So easy and love the pouring spout. *by L***5 on September 9, 2026* Needed something to store sugar and this is fantastic.
