Review: Effective - I have to say these pruners exceeded my expectations. They’re simple enough to use and not too heavy if you’re older (I’m 70). They’re nice and sharp and cut through pretty thick branches. The extension function is a bit tricky to get used to, sometimes the lock works straight away and other times it is more difficult to get it locked, however once it is locked in place it holds firm. On the whole though I think it was a good buy and as i’ll probably only use them three or four times a year I will put up with the tricky bits and the stiff neck after using them - looking up all the time. Just as an after thought, be careful of falling branches landing in you face and on your head!
Review: Effective and requires little effort - The overgrown bushes and a couple of smallish trees that were becoming "unruly" never stood a chance! Easy to assemble, lightweight and 'mostly' easy to use. It cuts through quite thick branches with ease and doesn't require a lot of brute force. I'm very impressed. I recommend checking it over occasionally to make sure the nuts and bolts are still tight so the the scissor action remains "true" The one gripe I have is that the pull cord that operates the cutting blade is very easy to get tangled into the mechanism when you're fighting to work the extended 'business end' up and into a tree. It would benefit from a couple of guides or clips being fixed to the upper tube that retain the cord close whilst allowing it to still be easily pulled downwards to operate the cutting blade"s scissor action.

Thank you for your question, to adjust the tree pruners, put one hand above the black grip one hand below the grip and twist to open and then twist to lock, I hope this helps.

**Q: The prices vary so much i don't know if they are the same? ebay it's around £80 and argos and wickes under £30**
A: this product, the 4935TP, is not available at Argos

**Q: Does it come in a manufacturers box**
A: As I recall, it comes with the handle sticking out from the bottom of a heat sealed, plastic case that encapsulates the blades and the neatly folded cord that you pull to activate it. 
The leverage given by the mechanism when you pull makes it easy to slice through green wood branches well over3-4 cms in diameter and I also use it with the cord pull set really short and the base of the handle resting on the ground as a way of effortlessly chopping up longer branches and shoots so they fit easily into bags and/or bins for taking to the local composting and/or waste disposal

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent pruner and great value for money

Bought this to prune a couple of apple trees. The cutter works very well, the pole extends enough and I found it manageable - any further and it would probably be unmanageable. I found it very useful to be able to vary the position of the cord pull handle on the cord to suit the selected pole length. Not tried the saw attachment yet, but it looks up to the job. I would definitely recommend this pruner.
