Question 1

Monitor is tipped down and will not stay up I have tried tightening the adjustment and it is not working it just keeps tipping down can anyone help?

Accepted Answer

On mine, the tilt adjustment takes quite a bit of strength to loosen and tighten. I loosened, adjusted the tilt, then tightened down well. I would even recommend a second person to hold the monitor tilted at the desired angle while tightening.

I have a 32" monitor that works fine with it.

Question 2

is weight capacity up to 26.4 lb? All reviews say 17lb or 19lb

Accepted Answer

I have bought two of the HNSS7. They are by far the most robust monitor stands I have ever purchased. There is an adjustment capability that allows lower weight monitors to stay in a lowered position. No adjustment for weight is necessary if your monitor is 26.4 pounds. However, the instructions clearly state the the position of the stand should not and cannot be adjusted properly unless the monitor is mounted after the stand is installed. The lighter the monitor, the less tension required for the monitor to stay in its selected position. So, if certain reviewers adjusted the stand BEFORE attaching the monitor, I can understand why they might perceive a problem.

Question 3

The lip on the back of my desk is only 3/4" deep. Exactly how wide is the bottom part of the grommet mount?

Accepted Answer

My desk is the same. Instead of using the clamp mount, I used the Grommet mount which required me to drill a 3/8" hole in the top of my desk at the location where I wanted the base to be. It was really easy.

Question 4

How low can the arm be set from the desk? The ad mentions how high the center can be away from the desk but not how low from the desk.

Accepted Answer

At its lowest point, the center of the mount is 9.75 inches above the desk
