With the book I tried (and that book was the reason I bought this stand), it was too thick for support ledge and there was no possible way to make those page holders work. Very disappointed and will be returning this product. **Q: How wide is the part that the book bottom rests on?** A: Approx. 1.5 inches. **Q: I have a very heavy nursing textbook its looseleaf binded almost 2,000 pages will this be good?** A: I think you might want to find something sturdier. Also, the two page holders might not fit over the pages of your opened book. **Q: Will it work for paperbacks?** A: Yes it works for all kinds of books and papers and has promised to keep them pages in place if needed ## Frequently Bought Together - Readaeer Portable Book Stand Free Angle Adjustable Book Holder for Thick Textbook Collapsible Lightweight Book Rest (White) - Gritin 19 LED Rechargeable Book Light for Reading in Bed with Memory Function- Eye Caring 3 Color Temperatures,Stepless Dimming Brightness,80 Hrs Runtime Lightweight Clip on Light for Book Lovers --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.no/products/175291307-readaeer-portable-book-stand-free-angle-adjustable-book-holder-thick](https://www.desertcart.no/products/175291307-readaeer-portable-book-stand-free-angle-adjustable-book-holder-thick) --- *Product available on Desertcart Norway* *Store origin: NO* *Last updated: 2026-10-12*
