I’m using it with a Diamond NR770HB dual-band antenna on my Dodge Ram 2500, and it holds firm even at highway speeds. The magnets have serious grip and stay put through wind, rain, and vibration. The SO-239 connector is well-made and provides a solid connection for coax. The coax length is just right for most mobile setups, and I didn’t experience any noticeable signal loss. It’s ideal for mounting on larger vehicles, trucks, or even on metal surfaces during field operations. If you need a dependable magnetic mount for your mobile or portable ham radio antenna, this one is built to last and won’t disappoint. Review: Fantastic antenna mount!! - I’ve been involved with two-way radio since I was 12, became a licensed Radio Amateur at 14 and I’m 65 now. I’ve not only done radio as a hobby but also a 42 yr career in public safety and emergency communications. This a terrific magnet mount providing flexibility with an SO-239 connector which I married with a Tri-band antenna for a temporary antenna install. If you use two-way radios and done want to drill a hole for an NMO mount, this is a great way to have a solid mount. I don’t have my HF single band whips but I’d guess this mount could handle them with a 3/8-24 to SO-239 adaptor. I highly recommend this mount that also provides strong magnets but has rubber to protect the paint. ## Features - [HYS Mount Magnetic base]Height: 30mm/1.18";Base Diameter: 90mm/ 3.54",consists of 3 pieces of 90mm black steel magnet housings ; The strong magnet keeps it firmly in place at highway speeds or during bumpy off-road adventures. I’ve not only done radio as a hobby but also a 42 yr career in public safety and emergency communications. I highly recommend this mount that also provides strong magnets but has rubber to protect the paint. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Strong Holding Ability *by D***S on April 7, 2025* Had this mount before and it worked great. Its strong magnet held my Amateur Radio antenna in the center of my roof at 75+MPH under all weather conditions. I’m now buying another one so that I can mount my WeBoost Cellular antenna in the center roof of different company cars. I specifically chose this strong tri-magnetic base because I believe tri-mags are the strongest in general. I do a lot of highway driving to locations often in remote areas. Thus the type of cellular antenna needs, and because of the bulkiness of the cellular antenna, a mount strong enough to hold tight while resisting the forces of wind being exerted on the WeBoost antenna itself. I will update with photos once I get it mounted to let you see how I set it up, and how well it works. ## Frequently Bought Together - HYS Heavy Duty Mobile Car/Truck SO-239 8.8inch Triangle Magnet Mount Base W/5M(16.4ft) RG58 Coaxial Cable PL-259 Plug - CB Antenna Connector Adapter 3/8 x 24 Threaded Antenna Mount to UHF PL-259 (SO239 Mount) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.no/products/174704614-hys-8-8inch-triangle-magnet-mount-base](https://www.desertcart.no/products/174704614-hys-8-8inch-triangle-magnet-mount-base) --- *Product available on Desertcart Norway* *Store origin: NO* *Last updated: 2026-10-01*
