This seminal work covers all of the major, and most of the minor, candlestick patterns and their stats, along with ample discussion of the "zen" behind the successful application of candlesticks to real-world trading. The stats alone are worth the price of the book. Chapter 10 on candlesticks for traders, guest-authored by Ryan Litchfield, is an outstanding addition to the current edition, chock full of clarifying concepts and diagrams.

If you're already familiar with candlestick analysis, you'll still benefit from this book. The decomposition of multi-day charts, as well as the sentiment behind the indicators, was enlightening. The key take-away for me was to consider candlesticks an enhancement to other technical anaylsis, proving most valuable as sentiment indicators near support and resistance points. The added chapter for traders, authored by Litchfield, refined the data from prior chapters.
