I'd highly recommend this to both people that are inexperienced with mixing and seasoned vets. They explain the recipes well while also keeping them simple. But, it's absolutely stunning, and having experience bartending a bit, I'd say every recipe I've looked at looks wonderful. The ingredients are generally simple and common in most markets, the layout is just beautiful, and the directions are concise and clear. I bought this along with a larger, more thorough manual about making drinks and it makes a nice, fun accompaniment. The drinks are clearly based off of classics but with a bit of a creative twist. Definitely recommend this book.
