It's solid as a rock so far, it was easy to assemble the dial handles, and live center (a little tricky getting it to mount firmly). But all in all it's a really nice product. I look for two solid months evaluating lathes and frankly decided to go with this one because it was made in Germany. I also needed a small lathe and this one fits just about anywhere. I'm still waiting for the cutting tools to show up but I did get the Chuck for the Tail stock, so I mounted that and used a center bit, followed by a drill bit, to punch a hole in a five millimeter diameter bar. I have never owned or operated a lathe before, but this made it very easy to punch a hole with precision in such a small diameter bar. Check my video to see how small it is and if the size fits your needs I would highly recommend this device. Review: Do not buy - If I could give 0 stars I would this machine is way to small to do anything and you pay $800 for just the lathe.
