It effectively & promptly relieved my itchy spider bite. It does go on a little bit greasy, as do all ointments. But you can minimize this by using a very small amount which seems to do the trick. Buying this hydrocortisoneointment in local stores or pharmacies is very pricey unless you want very a very thin, almost watery crème formula like they sell at a dollar store, or Walmart. In contrast, the ointment worked much better and the anti-itch results lasted longer. The price was excellent. They were 3 tubes for under eightdollars so shared one with my daughter.
