Good product! This fruit slicer from Kitchen Aid is far sturdier and better than my previous one. It not only look heavy duty bug functions also better too. I use it to slice apples primarily fit my daughter school lunch or otherwise. Take no time to slice an apple evenly! The blades are sharp and you need to be able to use some force to slice the fruit. Be careful while using the product, if kids are using this, don't leave them unattended. Great material, good size, cuts through a large apple easily.

This is a solid little tool if you're like me and eat apples or pears every single day. The stainless steel blades are surprisingly sharp—they cut through even the crispier honeycrisp apples in one smooth motion, giving you eight perfect wedges. I’m a fan of the oversized ergonomic handles because they actually give you enough leverage to push down without feeling like you’re straining your wrists, and the fact that it's dishwasher safe makes cleanup a total non-issue. It definitely beats using a knife when you're trying to pack a quick lunch or prep snacks for the kids. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the center coring circle is a bit on the small side. If you’re dealing with a larger-than-average apple, it sometimes leaves a bit of the core on the edges of your slices, so you have to go back and trim them. It’s also a bit bulky in the drawer compared to a flat knife, but honestly, for the speed and consistent wedges you get, it’s a fair trade-off. Overall, it's a sturdy, reliable kitchen staple that feels like it’ll last a long time.

Best slicer ever! I wish I had purchased this years ago. It cuts perfectly, and it is super easy to clean. Absolutely LOVE this slicer -- great for all those Fall apple dishes! Highly recommend!

Slices through apples easily!!! Easy to use, easy to hold. The handles make it very comfortable to hold and use. It feels of good quality and is an easy excellent bargain for the price.

This works well for me. The plastic is heavy duty. Some reviews on these slicers claim the center is too small but I find this one to be perfect. Know that to get this thru an apple does require some pushing and maybe a little rocking, but it is a manual slicer. This one is well made!

Blades are not sharp enough, requires leaning my bodyweight forward to cut through the apple. Even then the slicer doesn't cut all the way through, I have to manually pull out all the pieces. And the core usually gets stuck in the centre. Also it works only for perfectly formed apples, if your apple is tilted then it cannot cut cleanly and the pit and seeds are not sliced out neatly.
