Is this screwed together? Or does it use glues?

The central dowel rods are fit together with the curved side pieces using wood joinery, so there are no screws or glues you will notice. Thank you for your question.

The seller said no glues that you will "notice" but does that mean no glues were used? Or it did use glues, they just aren't noticeable?

The cedar dowel rods for this product are connected to the cedar curved side pieces using wood joinery. There are mortise holes on the curved side pieces that the dowel rods fit tightly into. Inside of the mortise holes, to ensure all the pieces stay firmly together there is a dab of white latex adhesive widely used in sauna products due to its environmental friendliness and ability to withstand high temperatures. This product has been carefully considered to use only materials designed for healthy sauna use. Thank you for your question.

Can this be used as a back support in a bathtub?

It’s wooden so I wouldn’t use in a tub, not to mention it would not stay in place in a tub.

From what country does the cedar come? Thank you.

The wood's country of origin is Canada. Its Latin name is Thuja plicata, more commonly known as Canadian Red Cedar, Western Red Cedar, or Pacific Redcedar. It's a type of wood valued for its distinct color, aroma, strength, light weight, and natural resistance to moisture and bacteria, all properties making it an ideal fit for use in saunas. Thank you for your question!
