## Questions & Answers

**Q: Question for the manufacturer ~ Is this product completely NON-gmo and/or organic?**
A: Searching their website, I can't see anything about yeast and GMO. But this product on Amazon (the Mini-Flakes) seems to be NOT organic, as the Frontier listings for yeast have another type that IS labeled as organic, and it's more than twice the price. (https://www.frontiercoop.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=yeast)

**Q: I LOVE Frontier products and am interested in purchasing the Yeast for baking purposes. Is the Frontier Nutritional Yeast Flakes for baking?**
A: Nutritional Yeast is different from baking yeast that you make bread with...it’s more of an umami savory flavor addition that adds some cheesiness without using dairy or overly processed vegan cheeses. If you need baking yeast, search “active yeast” instead. Hope that helps!

**Q: Is this product Gluten Free?**
A: Since it's made from molasses, I would assume it's gluten free. However, the manufacturer claims they do not specifically test for trace amounts of gluten that may be residual from other products: http://www.frontiercoop.com/learn/faq.php

**Q: Is the source (beets and cane molasses) GMO?**
A: The very first sentence in the description clearly says it’s grown on BEET and CANE molasses – that’s “What molasses”

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Healthier and Tastier Option!
*by S***J on February 13, 2023*

I recently tried Frontier Co-op Nutritional Yeast Mini-Flakes and I must say I'm impressed. The flakes are a great addition to many of my favorite meals, providing a delicious nutty and cheesy flavor. I particularly love using it as a topping for popcorn, baked potatoes, and roasted vegetables. The yeast is 100% pure and Kosher certified, making it a great option for those who follow dietary restrictions. I also appreciate the fact that the yeast is non-GMO and organic, providing peace of mind that I am consuming a healthy product. The 1 lb. bulk bag is a great value and the mini-flakes are a convenient size for measuring and adding to my meals. I also appreciate the packaging, which is resealable to keep the yeast fresh for future use. One thing that sets Frontier Co-op Nutritional Yeast Mini-Flakes apart from other nutritional yeasts on the market is that it is not fortified with synthetic vitamins and minerals. This is a big plus for those who are conscious about the source and quality of their nutrients. Many fortified nutritional yeasts contain synthetic vitamins and minerals that are added to the yeast after it has been harvested. This can lead to a decrease in the quality and bioavailability of the nutrients, as well as an increased risk of consuming harmful additives. The fact that Frontier Co-op Nutritional Yeast Mini-Flakes is not fortified means that you are getting all of its nutrients in their natural, unadulterated form. This not only makes it a healthier option, but also a more flavorful one. Overall, I highly recommend Frontier Co-op Nutritional Yeast Mini-Flakes for anyone looking for a tasty and healthy addition to their meals. The yeast is versatile, convenient, and a great value for the price.
