Dresdner Stollen Gift Box

I have bought stollen for years but can’t seem to find it locally so I was very happy to find this one on Amazon. It came quickly and was fresh and delicious. Like most treats, try not to eat too much! I do put each slice in microwave for ten seconds.

This is the most delicious Stollen! It’s my husband’s favorite. I try to find it for him every Christmas. What a treat to discover it right here on Amazon with an amazing seller. My purchase arrived earlier than expected and in great condition. Five stars!!!

Best ever stollen. Highly recommend for self or as a gift. Box is lovely and requires no more wrapping if a gift. Was very flavorful and fresh (how ? But it sure was!) ,…..moistness was just right. I’ll buy again next holiday season.

Delicious! Moist and fresh, a little bit expensive but tastes just as good as being in Dresden. Will buy again next year !

Had similar in Germany over the holidays. Impossible to tell the difference. Just moist enough. Great mouth feel and give. Well – balanced spicing. Not too sweet. Old World quality.

We have bought this stollen from other sellers before and they have tasted great. However, this one isn’t as good and upon closer examination of the packaging, the “best before” date (quasi expiration date) is 04/01/2024 (see picture). At best, this is over 7 months beyond the suggested date of April 1st (at worst, it’s over 11 months beyond January 4th pending if this is European or American date convention). The seller of this is Hoot Products and I do not recommend this seller. Will be buying from another seller albeit longer to ship; perhaps that’s because they don’t have old inventory that is sitting around and pass the suitable date for consumption.

Since I was born in Dresden, and my brother owned multiple bakeries, stollen is something I grew up eating, and have been enjoying for over 60 years. I do love it. Given the choice between a yule log and stollen, the choice is very easy for me. I have many local options for buying stollen, but when you specifically look for stollen from Dresden, the choices are fewer, and in the German stores that I visit, those are the first to disappear. I'm not surprised. Over the last two Christmas seasons, I've tried three different Dresdener stollen that Amazon carried. There was one with brandied cherries that I thought I would like a great deal, and didn't enjoy as much as I expected. I did like the Emil Reimann version very much, but I enjoy marzipan in my stollen, which this one lacks, and it is substantially more expensive than some of the competing products. I do like the Dr. Quent offering a great deal. Although it is also without marzipan, it is very tasty and you can just sense how much butter goes into it. I have bought it twice, and it was great both times. At this point it is my favorite. If you buy the Emil Reimann product you will not be disappointed, but I would encourage you to also explore some of the other genuine Dresdener stollen options.

Excellent Stollen
