Much better than the similar books in the American Sailing Association and US Sailing textbooks. This is more focused on skills the crew needs to know rather than learning to sail. So if you want to get spots crewing on someone else’s boat, this is the book for you. Review: Nice introduction - Excellent book for beginners. Nice orientation for sailing boats

Praxis Buch

Great preparation for any sailing course
I read this book while preparing to do two of the most basic RYA courses – Level 1 and Level 2 Sailing – on successive weekends. It covers all the key skills needed to get started in sailing, whether you’re on a dinghy or a super yacht. It has clear descriptions of sailing manoeuvres like tacking and gybing, good illustrations and explanations of sailing jargon. I will read it again when I book the competent crew course.
