I initially purchased another product from Amazon to replace my old home office chair. The other chair was good-looking and easy to assemble, but the lumbar support was anemic. I gave it away to a colleague's college-aged son. It works for him. This chair is excellent and very easy to assemble. The lumbar support is substantial and dynamically adjusts with the chair's recline. Sitting straight up and working, the support is comfortably firm. Tilted back, the support relaxes like reclining in a well-worn baseball mitt. The quality of the material, stitching, and padding is excellent. The lift range is longer than other chairs I've had, so finding a comfortable height for any activity is easy. I'm a guitar player and record at my desk, so the retractable arms are convenient. The back might appear to support the neck or head in the photos. It does not. I'm six feet, and the padded upper back settles comfortably at my upper shoulder blades. As I said in the headline, the chair is a bit larger than I expected for my little home office, but it's comfy.

My old desk chair broke last week after about 2 years of use. I ordered this one from Amazon and it arrived yesterday (delivery was delayed by 3 days without explanation) The chair was not super difficult to assemble but also not easy. Putting the last piece in required me having my son help as it definitely took more than 2 hands to get the 2 pieces to line up. I am tall (5'11") and I work very long hours at my desk for work and also sit at my desk for my hobby of writing fiction. This chair is good for me as it sits higher than my last chair did, I appreciate this as I am taller than many people. It is wide set, meaning the arms are further apart than my old chair which might bother some people but I like that it means I do not always have to sit in one position when I'm sitting here for a long time. I also appreciate the ability to rotate the arms up and out of the way as this means I can push the chair more fully under the desk when I'm not using it. The back is not as high as my old chair was which is a bit of a negative for me, I specifically ordered a high back chair and this is several inches shorter than my old chair. The back comes just above my shoulders by an inch or two, but I cannot lean my head back comfortably. Also, it is not a "leather chair" as the description says. It's bonded leather which means it is possible for the leather to wear off of the chair as others have stated. I had wanted to order the cream but I'm glad I ordered dark brown instead now that i know it's not a fully leather chair. The base is heavy, the wheels roll nicely and it's a very nice and solid chair. The box weighed about 50 lbs which shows how heavy duty the chair is. I'm hopeful this will help the chair last a long time.

When I assembled this chair, I ran into a problem that I was eventually able to solve, but I couldn’t find any instructions that would have shown me how. So to save yourself some time and stress: when you attach the back of the chair to the seat, you will need to connect a metal tongue protruding from the back piece to a similar part protruding from the seat. But it may seem like the piece from the back isn’t long enough for the two parts to connect properly. What I didn’t realize at first is that you might have to pull the part sticking out from the back with some force in order to get it into position. The reason is that the part on the back is meant to move in and out: it actually operates the mechanism that makes the lumbar support protrude when you sit up straight but retract when you lean back. So if it’s not sticking out far enough, just pull it smoothly but firmly until it comes out all the way, and you should be able to connect the parts as per the instructions without difficulty. This is a big, strong, sturdy, comfortable desk chair. It’s a good choice for a biggish person who wants a lot of support while sitting. The price is quite reasonable. But it takes up a fair amount of floor space, it’s heavy, and the arms are wide set, so if you’re not a tall person, you might not be able to rest both your elbows at the same time. I suspect that a medium-to-small person might be happier with a more modestly sized alternative.

The chair is an ok chair. Hubby put it together without any problems. I am not that fond of the arm rest. They can be pushed either up out of the way or leave in place but cannot be lowered and lower. This allows my elbows to be too high. The seat of this chair is very short so if you are taller than 5 feet look elsewhere. I thought the back of the chair would be higher so I could lean my head back but it comes right to my shoulders. The material isn’t bad and thankfully I will be the only one using it for now as I don’t feel the pleather will last very long with sitting in the chair 10 hrs a day 5 days a week. Overall if put together correctly it’s an ok chair. One point I will make there is this round knob that turns left or right which tightens or loosens but what’s adjusting we have no clue and the directions were no help for that. I was hoping it would have moved the seat forward so the bend of my legs would be more comfortable. I’ll probably sell it and try again.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I must have looked at 100 chairs and have owned a few....this is by far the best chair I have ever owned and I spend a good 8-10 hours in it every day......It supports so well and flip up arm rests means it can fit under the desk and out of the way when it is not in use. It has excellent lumbar support and my butt doesn't hurt for once in ages....Ease of assembly, don't really need the instructions if you've put one of these chairs together before. <My only gripe are the wheels....They are hard plastic and they sound cheap and terrible on tile, so I switched them to the quiet nylon wheels I had on my old chair....now I have the best of both worlds. Height adjustment: Height adjustment and locking and unlocking the back rest are done by two small paddle actuators on either side of the chair.

I bought two of these chairs when the pandemic started - one for me and one for my kid. I had brown furniture in the family room, so I decided to add two desks and turn it into a make-shift office. It's been almost a year now, and I feel that I can write a review. I am not a fan of people who review 5 minutes after they bought a product. So here it goes. I liked the chair for the first month or two. Then the seat started sinking in, and the back was too far (I'm 5 ft tall), so I had to buy a back cushion. My hips started hurting, so I bought a seat cushion. The chair is no ergonomic, nor is it a long term solution. It looks comfortably overstuffed, but it's really not. I often feel like I'm sliding to the right, as if the seat is slightly tilted. My son is 10 and he is like any other bouncy boy - in and out of the chair during the school day. Unlike me he doesn't spend a solid 8 hours sitting down. He likes the chair, but he also doesn't weigh as much as me. I recently swapped our chairs and noticed that his seat was still hard (and not sunken in). The best features of this chair are the arm rests that can be raised so the chair can fit under the desk. Overall, I think it's a decent chair for short term use in wait rooms. But if you plan on sitting for 8 hours per day, you will regret this purchase within a month. The lumbar support deflates after a while and you will need a pillow or a cushion. My daughter has a simple black office chair and I find hers a lot more comfortable.

The chair we received had some kind of internal damage. I really liked the quality of the chair and the comfort but something was wrong with the back support mechanism or the base connection when leaning back, I never could pinpoint the issue. The chair would make a terrible popping sound like a bolt or weld would eventually break. I checked everything but could not eliminate the problem. I called customer service and explained the issue. The rep at amazon was great. After troubleshooting a few potential culprits none of them worked and I still had the same, very loud popping noise. The Amazon rep replaced the chair. I have been using the replacement for a few days and whatever the issue was with the first chair can not be found in the replacement. These are great chairs. Like everything in life, sometimes you get a bad apple, but what makes the difference is how the company stands behind their products when there is a problem. Amazon gets 5 stars across the board on this one.

Overall the chair is excellent. There are not complaints other than it sits about 2 inches too high and i do not know how to adjust it down. I am on the lowest setting and it still feels high when i am typing on my keyboard.

tldr; chair was good for the price but not the best choice for people that are heavy I bought this chair in Feb 2020 but it never arrived. I contacted the seller and they sent me a replacement right way so 5 stars for support. I assembled it without too many issues.. basically 12 screws and the allen wrench comes with it. Assembly was a bit awkward with the slippery pleather etc but but I suspect that would be the case with any chair like this. I had no missing parts, the instructions were pretty clear, took me maybe 10 minutes. 5 stars for assembly. Overall, the chair was fine. It was pretty comfortable and there were controls to tilt & lock and height, which was good enough for me. I was very heavy back then, just under 300. One day I dropped something to the floor and when I leaned to the left to pick it up the chair creaked and cracked. I seems the wood in the seat pan cracked and the flat metal tilt bar that connects to the back snapped. The chair was still useable but over time it tilted more and more to the left. Once my back started aching, I had to replace the chair.

Looked very nice but is so uncomfortable I cannot sit in it. Gave me awful back and hip pain.

Not worth the price, perhaps half of I paid $400+CDN. Tilt mechanism not always work and has a minimal movement. The limbar support patented mechanism is a joke and I fear the chair will broke if I over uses it. Dont waste your money and do not make the same mistake, yes the comfort to receive the chair at your front door is priceless, but for a chair that you will be seating 6+ hours every day, take a trip to a local store and test as many as you can. Now I have to hassle with the idea to put everything back in the box and return it, or have to swallow this very bitter pill for the rest of my life.
