The rubber rollers are made of firm rubber, so if you are using on wood, should be very smooth wood. **Q: Can this be used for braying cloth? Have a Cricut maker that cuts material.** A: I'm not sure only used it ton paper **Q: If you have used these a lot, do they squeak over time?** A: I haven't had them for very long, about a month. But I use them a lot and they don't squeak. **Q: Can this be used with alcohol based and oil paints?** A: I used it with oil paints . HOWEVER one brayer was defective and useless.
