I decided to replace them, because of how worn they were looking.The newer ones are of terrible quality. Just minutes after they were professionally installed during my last maintenance, I bumped one of them against a tire of another bike as I was walking past. It tore clean off.The metal is much thinner than the ones from years ago. We’re talking soda-can thin. Later that day, on their first group ride, I found another was dangling off. I don’t remember even making contact with anyone or anything. As I tested to see if it could be easily pulled off, the metal cleanly sliced my finger.I’ll be using my older parts I saved a little while longer.
