This product is the combination of a German-made Herm Sprenger training collar quick-release dog collar with the traditional fastener plate replaced by a custom aftermarket easy-to-use quick snap buckle. The enhanced buckle greatly improves the experience for both you and your dog. Please measure your dog's neck before selecting the correct size to purchase.

Review: Game changer! - On the first walk, with a little direction from YouTube (check out American standard dog trainer channel), everything changed. My American Bully immediately started paying attention to me and quickly learned a tight leash is a no-go. A few tips: make sure fit is tight like you’d wear your watch. I removed four prongs to create the perfect fit. Every time your dog gets distracted and starts to tighten the leash, give it a light/medium pop and change direction 180 degrees without looking at the dog. Trust me, he gets the hint. Biggest thing I noticed is he immediately started paying attention to me, because I might stop, change direction, or something else, and it comes with a light pop on the neck. I personally think it does not hurt him. I have yet to even get a yelp out of him. It’s like a nudge on the arm, like you’d do to someone when you need their attention or need to “wake them up”, which is really what you’re trying to do. I’m not an advocate for abuse, by any means, but in general, folks need to direct their dog, not just be nice and let them create bad habits. Also, a couple light pops with the prong collar and far better than the neck stress from pulling in every direction. The dog also enjoys the leadership - it decreases his anxiety and hyperactivity. Get this collar, you won’t regret!
Review: Great product and great customer service - We purchased this prong collar in July 2023. We have a large and energetic rescue dog who is fearful and often makes bad decisions when encountering distractions (strangers, golf carts, construction vehicles, bikes, etc). We had multiple trainers to help her learn to focus on us and listen to our commands. We also tried many different collars - chokers, martingales, e-collars for sound and vibration feedback, etc. We found the prong collars work best on her - they give her comfort she can feel at all times and they allow us to provide gentle corrections to help her stay calm and make better behavioral decisions. We use this prong collar all the time as it is our favorite. We like how the prongs go in different directions for easy and minimal corrections and we love the clasp. Our dog is a wiggler and is also head shy so she doesn't do well with slip-on collars. Unfortunately, the clasp on this one broke last weekend and we were devastated. We were a few months outside the warranty but reached out to the seller to see if they could maybe provide a replacement clasp at a lower cost than a complete new item. The seller promptly responded and was able to help us out. They expedited shipment and it arrived in a few days. We greatly appreciate their product and support and we can't thank them enough!

**Q: Is this really a herm sprenger? title states so, but brand appears “generic” and i couldn’t locate this on their catalog**
A: The collar (metal prongs and chain) are authentic products sourced from Herm Sprenger, however, the Leather Strap and Buckle Assembly portion is not. Because it is not a 100% off-the-shelf Herm Sprenger product, it does not fall under their warranty. Instead, it falls under our warranty (1 year).

**Q: What size is the Large??  Is the link 3.0mm? Or bigger?**
A: The small has 2.25mm prongs, the large has 3.2mm prongs

**Q: What is the appropriate size prong collar for a 6 month old 50 pound yellow lab retriever?**
A: Dog trainer recommended for my chocolate lab the 2.25” link collar about that age. We started with the 12” and I added links over time. But you should measure your dog’s neck as could be different.

**Q: Are extra links provided for when a puppy grows larger?**
A: no, but you can buy them separately
