Nights were something like 40 degrees F, and I had to put a towel on top of the pad, below my sleeping bag, to get comfortable sleep. Again, this is 2.4 R value, and my bag wasn't the best, so there were some issues with my sleep system overall. It blows up quickly with the lungs, but wish it came with a pumpsack. I've heard a lot about this type of pad's potential for mildew and would like to avoid that completely. Tried to handmake a pumpsack, but couldn't get something to work with the valve. Not sure if it works with a standard pumpsack. I am a side sleeper and found the pad to be comfortable when tested on a concrete floor. I will say that while getting into your sleeping bag, if you put most of your weight on one knee, the pad can not support it and you will go straight through to the ground underneath. That being said, when laying on the pad your body weight is distributed well and there is no touching of the ground.
