A: The Center for Precollegiate Education and Training at the University of Florida has a lesson plan and information on the chemicals.  Search this sentence: "Ingesting too much PTC at once can cause thyroid damage, which is why it's important to limit the students' access to the taste strips."

A: They are all white.  Those colored papers are just inserts with the name of the chemical
