With so many people working from home due to COVID-19, there is a shortage of well-known branded cameras. I knew that it shouldn't really matter who makes the camera and it shouldn't really cost very much to be suitable for zoom calls and the like. This came very quickly. It's a USB 2 camera and so Windows 10 recognized it and had it ready quickly. While it comes with some software for things like motion detect, picture taking, and video record, none of that is new technology - nor did I really need it. I downloaded and installed Zoom, which immediately just used the camera and the mic was available in the device list. I hosted a test call with my iPhone and the audio was plenty loud (maybe too loud, so I lowered it) and the video was fine. Complaints of some grainy images are accurate but not really a problem. Internet connection will be a bigger factor. The stand/monitor "clamp" are reasonable, but it isn't a spring clamp, just a fold out hinge that lets it rest on the monitor. I ended up routing the cable under the camera to lift it up a little, but the angle and zoom are fine and the focus is fine (I really did not want to manually focus). So, if you are looking for an inexpensive camera that does the job, this is it. Review: it's perfectly fine - I bought this to have an external camera for video meetings while working from home. It does what I need it to do. The picture quality isn't amazing, and I can't hook it to my monitor (i'm sure I could buy something to attach it) so it just kind of dangles at the top of my monitor, but honestly, I don't need anything fancy. For the cost, I can deal with the downsides. My team can see my face and I don't have to open my laptop for daily meetings and that's what I care about. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B007Z7LAZU | | Brand | Gigaware | | Connectivity Technology | USB | | Customer Reviews | 3.7 out of 5 stars 32 Reviews | | File Format | JPEG | | Flash Memory Type | Micro SD | | Lens Type | Zoom | | Manufacturer | Gigaware | | Model Number | 8541707472 | | Photo Sensor Technology | CMOS | | Screen Size | 1.8 inches | | Sensor Type | CMOS | | Special Feature | Low Light | | UPC | 040293554385 | | Video Capture Resolution | 720p | | Video Resolution | 720p | ## Images ![Gigaware 1.3MP Webcam with Microphone (Grey) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61KB6J-jKHL.jpg) ![Gigaware 1.3MP Webcam with Microphone (Grey) - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61SkOqCPxZL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cheap and effective *by T***S on May 5, 2020* I wanted to write a positive review here.
