How much to use for a sofa

I used a whole bottle for a club style chair. I also used a bottle and half for a wing chair with cushion. Depending on the size I would think one bottle per person ie if its a two person sofa at least 2 bottles. It will also depend on how dark the color that you want to cover how many coats you will need.

Does this need to be heat set? I'm painting a sofa and don't want a product that requires heat setting. Thanks! Paula

I used this to paint both a sofa and a chair. I did not heat set either of them. Two years later for the couch and one year later on the chair and no color has bled. Both have been wiped with a damp cloth, but nothing has ever been spilled on either. Good luck. I had good results with this stuff!

I will be painting an upholstered sofa. i do not want a shiny/vinyl look when dry. if i use flat/matte paint will i get a non shiny surface?
