Review: Powerful and Really Helpful After Knee Surgery! - I used this after knee surgery and it was incredibly helpful! The heat gets nice and powerful, which made it great for soothing soreness and helping me feel more comfortable during recovery. I also really liked the large size because it covered the area well without constantly needing to reposition it. It feels sturdy and substantial, and I was very happy with how effective it was!
Review: Slightly heavier than standard heating pads (which is actually a benefit for me) - I’ve tried several heating pads over the years, and the Thermophore MaxHEAT Model 155 is by far one of the most effective for relieving muscle and joint pain. The first thing I noticed was the size. At 14" x 27", it provides excellent coverage for larger areas like the back, shoulders, hips, and legs. The weighted design helps it stay in place without constantly readjusting, and it conforms nicely to the body. What really sets this heating pad apart is the deep moist heat. Unlike standard electric heating pads that can feel dry or superficial, the Thermophore delivers penetrating heat that reaches sore muscles and provides real relief. I use it regularly for lower back tension and stiff shoulders, and I can feel a noticeable difference after just 20–30 minutes.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does this product have the new H-M-L switch or the old on/off-pause switch?**
A: This product has H-M-L on the left side and 3 2 1 0 on the right side.

**Q: Can i comment on a past purchase?**
A: Not right now. Try later.

**Q: What are the dimensions for the large thermophore heating pad. The others are 14x27. The comments on this particular one indicate a much larger size,**
A: I ordered the Model #155 and it is 14x27 inches. I don't think there is a larger one, all though I haven't checked. This is big enough for me! And, it is heavy. I would only suggest for an infirm person if there was someone to help. I drape mine over my lounger and pull it down to sore part of my back. Even 20 minutes of low heat does the trick for my back. It pulls moisture out of the air so that warm, moist heat really helps. I hope this helps you. Aloha!

**Q: Does this provide moist heat?**
A: I bought the pad for my wife. She says it does provide moist heat.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Slightly heavier than standard heating pads (which is actually a benefit for me)

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Medical Grade Powerhouse
*by D***S on August 18, 2026*

I was skeptical on this as the photo doesn't look very appealing and seemed cheap but I was totally wrong. This is a high quality, medical grade piece of equipment. It's made of heavyweight material and it's weighted, which I didn't realize when I bought it. Everything about it feels like it was built to last. I bought multiple cheaper alternatives but none of those would get much hotter than 100 degrees. This one heats up FAST and gets hotter than any other pad I've tried. I can only use the highest setting for a few minutes before I have to turn it down. It does turn off after 20 minutes or so, but you can turn it right back on and it keeps going, although you should be careful with using it much longer. It's pricey, but so far, worth every penny.
