We would recommend using 1 teaspoon of the Citric Acid cleaner. Detailed cleaning directions are available on page 14 of the instruction manual. Please contact Zojirushi America Customer Service at 1-800-733-6270 for further assistance or email support@zojirushi.com **Q: If i don't have a cleaning mode (i have a tatung brand hot pot), do i just boil the solution with the citric acid?** A: You do not need a cleaning mode to clean it. You simply put it in with the water and use BOIL. Then follow the instructions to let it soak. It will work just fine. We also use this in coffee makers and any hot water appliance. **Q: Can i use this in my glass ovente electric kettle?** A: Yes you can use this in any product that Runs water through it and acquires a build up of minerals and scale. This cleaner will remove the build of minerals and clean the inside of any type of pot, kettle, coffee maker, hot water dispenser, etc. **Q: How does this product differ from cd-kb03-j?** A: It is the same product with Japanese packaging. The instructions are in Japanese. If you purchase it in Japanese please know how to use it before using it. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It's Zojirushi, so of course it's good! *by on Reviewed in the United States August 12, 2026* These are ideal for my Zojirushi hot water dispenser and are extremely easy to use and effective. I only need to use them a few times per year, and I prefer to pay a bit more for branded cleaner than going cheap for the inexpensive cleaner made from who-knows-what because I want to keep my Zojirushi working for as long as possible. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ too pricey *by on Reviewed in the United States August 1, 2026* odorless and strong descaling ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Oh this stuff WORKS!! Buy it!! *by on Reviewed in the United States May 14, 2026* My wife is Japanese and her old Zojirushi hotpot hadn't been cleaned since she bought it over 30 years ago. (They do last forever). That thing was gross inside!! This magic cleaner took those hard water deposits off and it looks like new!!!! I was skeptical paying the money for this stuff but glad I did. Hot water/tea actually tastes clean and fresh! ## Frequently Bought Together - Zojirushi #CD-K03EJU Inner Container Cleaner for Electric Pots, 4 Packets,White - Zojirushi CD-WCC30 Micom Water Boiler and Warmer (101 oz, Silver Dark Brown) - Zojirushi Citric Acid Cleaner for Electric Water Boilers, 4 Packets (1oz/30g each), White --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.no/products/1434980-cd-k03eju-inner-container-cleaner-for-electric-pots-4-packets](https://www.desertcart.no/products/1434980-cd-k03eju-inner-container-cleaner-for-electric-pots-4-packets) --- *Product available on Desertcart Norway* *Store origin: NO* *Last updated: 2026-10-06*
