How do you set it to play with 1 player? Ours seems to wait for additional players to be added.

The memory dome has to be pressed down on how many players you have and what game mode you set it to. Set the mode to which game you want to play on back. Push it down let it beep then press once for one player or twice for two and so on let it beep again hope this helps?

How do you get extra pods?

You get 4 with it, as a family with 4 children we didn’t rate this very much would never connect properly

Can you get extra pods for this game?

It says in the instructions that you can.

In the trailer it shows 8 buttons when playing the "pong" mode, does this mean you have to buy the game twice?

You can play the ‘Pong’ game with 4 pods but if you want to extend the game and use 8 pods as shown in the TVC you would need to buy the game twice… one of the exciting features of the game is that you can link up to 12 pods to extend the game play and increase the fun.
