Maybe I got lucky but mine arrived perfectly set up and with great intonation. Certainly a nice instrument for the price. The only cheap looking about it to me (though not flawed) was the light, reddish brown fretboard that I assumed was Richlite or some other synthetic material. But came to find out that it is an actual wood called Jatobá or Brazilian Redwood. The one thing I would change is a push-in friction fit whammy bar like on my way more expensive Charvel MJ San Dimas instead of the screw-in one on the Ibanez but then again vintage Strats and their reissues have the same screw-in whammy. bars. Overall I am very impressed with my purchase and would highly recommend it for a beginner's guitar or for someone who would prefer to travel or gig with something cheaper than their uber-expensive guitars. Review: Shread ready without the strings breaking - I have owned this guitar for a little over three months now, I’ve been writing my own tracks (which are very intense), and to my surprise this guitar is practically immortal, I shread this guitar every day and the strings still hold up like it’s brand new from day 1. Very beautiful, I highly recommend this guitar for new players as well, I was able to kind of teach myself with this guitar, the sound quality is very good. I have no bad opinion about it, the price is also priced just right for this amazing product! ## Features - Solidbody Electric Guitar with Poplar Body - 1 Single-coil Pickup - Trans Blue Burst - 2 Humbucking Pickups - Jatoba Fingerboard - Maple Neck ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0064RV6V0 | | Back Material Type | Meticulously inspected and set-up to meet high Ibanez standards | | Best Sellers Rank | #2,926 in Musical Instruments ( See Top 100 in Musical Instruments ) #5 in Solid Body Electric Guitars | | Body Material | Mahogany | | Body Material Type | Mahogany | | Brand | Ibanez | | Brand Name | Ibanez | | Color | Transparent Blue Burst | | Connector Type | 1/4" (6.35mm) Audio Jack | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 2,593 Reviews | | Fretboard Material Type | Rosewood | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00606559720583 | | Guitar Bridge System | Tremolo | | Guitar Pickup Configuration | H | | Hand Orientation | Right | | Included Components | Guitar | | Instrument | Guitar | | Instrument Size | 4 | | Item Dimensions | 6 x 12 x 43 inches | | Item Dimensions L x W x H | 41.93"L x 17.72"W x 3.35"H | | Item Highlight | Poplar body with maple neck and floating tremolo for performance, versatility and durability | | Item Type Name | Solid-Body Electric Guitar | | Item Weight | 8 pounds | | Manufacturer | Ibanez | | Manufacturer Part Number | GRX70QATBB | | Material Type | Bass Wood | | Model Name | GRX70QATBB | | Model Number | GRX70QATBB | | Model Series | GIO | | Neck Material Type | Maple Wood | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Strings | 6 | | Scale Length | 25.5" Scale | | String Material Type | Nickel | | Top Material Type | Poplar Wood | | UPC | 606559720583 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Warranty Description | 1 year limited manufacturer warranty. | ## Product Details - **Back Material Type:** Meticulously inspected and set-up to meet high Ibanez standards - **Body Material:** Mahogany - **Brand:** Ibanez - **Color:** Transparent Blue Burst - **Fretboard Material Type:** Rosewood - **Guitar Pickup Configuration:** H - **Hand Orientation:** Right - **Neck Material Type:** Maple Wood - **String Material Type:** Nickel - **Top Material Type:** Poplar Wood ## Images ![Ibanez GIO Series GRX70QA - Transparent Blue Burst - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71CAjWR5OvL.jpg) ![Ibanez GIO Series GRX70QA - Transparent Blue Burst - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/710yiIT49HL.jpg) ![Ibanez GIO Series GRX70QA - Transparent Blue Burst - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61ajI9JQZ5L.jpg) ![Ibanez GIO Series GRX70QA - Transparent Blue Burst - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51BVz2k0hML.jpg) ![Ibanez GIO Series GRX70QA - Transparent Blue Burst - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61lbcdNr7PL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color, Style** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: does it have a tremolo to help keep it in tune?** A: If you want a quality tremolo i would recommend a floyd rose, but truth be told you really cant get one thatll stay in tune for under $400. A floyd rose stays in tune well though, but theyre a big pain to set up **Q: Does it comes with a bag** A: No, no bag included. **Q: Is this a good beginners guitar?** A: Yes it is . I was surprised the quality of the guitar for the price . I have 2 and a bass . I have no complaints . Looking for a good starter amp look at the blackstar id core stereo amps there's 3 models to choose from and they have all the great effects without having to buy a bunch of sound effect pedals . **Q: Is this guitar good for small hands? Smaller fret board?** A: i would say yes , but its not made for small kids the neck is smaller than a standard ibanez ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Instrument for the Price and Beautiful Too! *by E***R on July 5, 2026* Excellent fit and finish, along with a great sound and playability. I've played guitar for 32 years and really wanted an inexpensive guitar that sounds good clean but can throw down some grit for rock and blues. I'm a Les Paul guy normally and wanted to mix things up. It arrived and I was super nervous because it sat in my unheated mail room of my place for some time and it was 18 degrees today. I brought it in and gave it an hour in the box to warm up prior to opening it up. It came well packed in a double box. It has a perfect set up on it straight out of the box which surprised me. I don't know if they do a set up at the factory or the third party that ships it does a set up prior to shipping it but it is perfect!!! It was also nearly in tune, which is unusual for a shipped guitar. This thing is really closer to a $400 to $500 guitar than $200 when looking at the features. Some things that really sold me. The tuning pegs are super smooth, much better than other guitars in the same price range. The neck isn't finished on the back and is sanded silky smooth. This makes it super smooth and fast when playing. Most other guitars in the price range spray a finish on the entire neck and when you are playing and your hands get hot your fingers start to stick. The pickups are far superior to anything you may find in any other $200 guitar (note they are not going to be as awesome as a $1000 guitar and up but I bet you could buy a $500 guitar with worse pickups) The tremolo is far better than anything else on the market for a guitar in the same price range. Most other guitars have thin white metal tremolos with thin springs that lose their spring quickly. Very Simple Controls. The 5 way switch covers the bridge pickups, the middle and one bridge pickup, the middle pickup alone, the middle and one neck pickups, and both neck pickups. The knobs are gain and level and operate on all pickups selected. Right away it was really easy to get clean tones and a nice crunch with little fiddling. Bottom line if you are buying your first electric guitar, a back up instrument, or something to just mess around with then this is the guitar for you!!! Well done Ibanez! ## Frequently Bought Together - Ibanez GIO Series GRX70QA - Transparent Blue Burst - WOGOD Guitar Strap - Amazon Basics Adjustable Folding Guitar Stand, A-shape, Fully Assembled - For School Music Program, Concerts & Multiple Users, Black --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.no/products/1425788-ibanez-gio-series-grx70qa-transparent-blue-burst](https://www.desertcart.no/products/1425788-ibanez-gio-series-grx70qa-transparent-blue-burst) --- *Product available on Desertcart Norway* *Store origin: NO* *Last updated: 2026-10-05*
